What does your name NIVEDITA mean? 1

Nivedita is a very wonderful name given by my parents It means a ‘prayer warrior’ Personally I believe in Jesus and prayer is my lifestyle

2. "Womanhood is a blessing"what has been your inspiring journey being a woman?

Womanhood indeed is a blessing. A woman can change the course of her family and the destiny of her children She must be educated and learn first in order to teach others

This journey for me has been blissful and motivating The struggle to become a full-time writer and singer has its own challenge in a family where people have a job-mindset I have learnt to take a stand and fight for what you know is right and then preserve and maintain your legacy Trust me it feels great when you see the fruits of your labour growing

3. How do you wish to inspire the Woman Community?

I want to be an inspiration for young women and youth. I want to help people who cannot stand for themselves and teach them to have a voice Biggest empowerment you can give to anyone is teaching them to take a stand for themselves.

4. What has been your biggest obstacle being a Woman?

Biggest obstacle I ever faced was being emotionally vulnerable Excessive emotions make you weak and affect your decision making Definition of a strong woman according to me is a wise woman who perceives changing times and seasons and acts accordingly.

5. Include a story/paragraph of Womanhood which would inspire your readers while reading your interview.

While I wanted to pursue writing as my career, my family members were not very happy with my choice of career. They wanted me to change my preferences according to them and their thinking. But I was adamant of my dreams and goals that I wanted to achieve. In a family of authoritative and orthodox people, somewhere making your own place in the society that too going against the grain is bravery for me. Everyone is courageous, they must act according to it. 3.

6. Is it easy being a Woman? Or we need to face partiality in terms of uplifting our profession/passion. 4.

It was never easy being a woman. The society has always played several roles in hindering the growth and success a woman deserves. Be it in financial terms or profession/ passion. A woman is entitled with household responsibilities the minute she starts becoming mature. Maturity has different aspects but why only women are asked to sacrifice? This needs to change. The Mantra is to keep doing the good work in your field, one day everything will change for good. Fruits of labour and patience are always sweet.
