As Autumn approaches, we naturally tend to spend more time indoors. To me, it’s the perfect time to relax in front of the fire with a great book, especially this month’s selection, “Home: A Celebration,” by acclaimed designer Charlotte Moss. Filled with personal reflections on home by designers, artists, authors, and other notables, this entertaining collection aptly defines the difference between a house and a home. And it’s all for a good cause. Inspired by Edith Wharton’s “The Book of the Homeless,” which benefitted WWI refugees, proceeds for this book support No Kid Hungry, which aids children living in food insecurity. The book holds added interest for me as well. During my career, I have met with many of the contributors, from author Andrew Solomon and singer/actress Bette Midler to artist Hunt Slonem, designer Kitty Hawks, and Ms. Moss herself.
