‘Selfies’
INDEPENDENT DAY & BOARDING SCHOOL FOR GIRLS AGED 11-18
(In our own words #SELFSTORY)

Meet Maïa
Sport at Prior’s Field is inclusive and fun, offering great opportunities to try new things and pursue what we enjoy. I chose gymnastics because of it’s uplifting atmosphere, and my favourite competition was ISGA, which allowed me to bond with teammates and perform a routine I loved. Outside school, I play netball, swim, and ski slalom. Prior’s Field’s positivity always makes me feel happy and supported.

Meet Lex
I’ve been dancing for over two years, focusing on contemporary and acro classes. Being featured for my dance in the school play was a great opportunity, and I really enjoyed being able to perform something I love. Outside school, I used to do ballet but have recently started cheerleading on the weekends. My goal is to make it into the cheer squad, while always keeping my passion for contemporary dance. What I love about Prior’s Field is the wide range of opportunities to pursue what I enjoy.
Meet Sydni
Cricket has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in South Africa so it’s in my blood. I love how inclusive sport is at Prior’s Field. Even though I’ve been injuryprone, the PE department has always supported me with rehab plans and coaching opportunities, so I never feel left out. One of my proudest moments was helping our team become Surrey Champions in Softball Cricket, a great team effort.

Meet Rhia & Larni
Rhia loves having her older sister Larni at Prior’s Field, knowing she is always there to offer support and guidance. For Larni, it’s rewarding to be someone her younger sister can look up to and depend on. Although quite different the siblings are incredibly happy navigating their own Prior’s Field journeys.

Meet Waqar
Head of Religious Studies
I’m passionate about providing our students a stimulating, safe and supportive space to have open conversations about life’s big questions. Through learning about a diverse range of beliefs and world views, they are inspired to reflect, think for themselves, promote respect and contribute positively to society. It’s an incredibly exciting journey that I’m privileged to be a part of!
Meet Layla
Since starting at Prior’s Field my favourite things so far have been the friendly staff and the dogs. I really love dogs! I don’t have my own, but it’s great having dogs at school. I also really feel at home here. At first, I thought I wouldn’t find my way around but, by the end of my second week, I knew exactly where I was going.

Meet Kiera
I love expressing myself through my music, and I have had so many opportunities since joining Prior’s Field, one of my favourites being playing in the senior band for ‘Into the Woods’. It was so much fun and I really felt part of something.

Meet Sophia
I’ve always been passionate about tennis, especially doubles; it’s exciting to play with different partners and strategies. Jorge, the tennis coach, is amazing; he’s enthusiastic and always encouraging. Outside school, I also enjoy gymnastics and play hockey. I’d love to coach younger students at summer tennis camps in the future. Prior’s Field has so many clubs and opportunities, and I love how they encourage us to try new things.

Meet Megan
DT at Prior’s Field has allowed me to develop a passion for designing my own jewellery, and outside school, I’ve used my DT skills to create jumps and a bridge for my micro-pigs, Rosie, Blossom, and Poppy. In the future, I hope to follow my love of animals and become a vet.

Meet Stoyan
Facilities Manager and Caretaker
My role is all about keeping Prior’s Field running smoothly. From maintaining the classrooms to ensuring the sports facilities are ready, I’m committed to creating the space where students can focus on their learning and activities, and it’s rewarding to know that my work plays a part in their success.

Meet Lucy
Sport has always been a big part of my life. Early on, I realised my height gave me an edge in high jump and hurdles, and I even broke the school high jump record last year! Competing at nationals for athletics and netball, and in the ESSA competition, has been amazing. I love how Prior’s Field offers so many sports. Outside school, I stay busy with netball, athletics, and tennis.
Meet Maddy
I chose Art after being inspired by my sister’s Art GCSE work and endless gallery visits. Art at Prior’s Field has exceeded my expectations; our teacher’s guidance on perspective has been invaluable. My favourite project was exploring Renaissance art after visiting Florence and Venice, seeing works by Michelangelo and Fra Angelico. Outside school, I visit galleries and practise life drawing. The best thing about Prior’s Field is the incredible guidance from teachers across all subjects.

Meet Kerry
Catering Team
I take great pride in creating nutritious meals that cater to all our students, ensuring they experience a variety of textures and tastes. I know how important it is to keep the girls healthy and well-fed, and I love seeing them enjoy their food. To me, they are like my children, and it brings me joy to help them stay energised throughout the day.
Meet Christelle
Teacher of French
I love bringing the magic of French language and culture to life for our students. I strive to create a welcoming and engaging environment where every girl feels encouraged to grow in confidence and curiosity. Whether it is through lively debates, creative projects or cultural celebrations, I am here to inspire a lifelong love of all things French! Seeing students develop their linguistic skills and discover the joy of connecting with another culture is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to inspire them to embrace new opportunities, both in their studies and in the wider world, through the power of language.

Meet Sharanya
I chose Biology and Chemistry A Levels because of my passion for these subjects and my goal to study medicine. Science at Prior’s Field is great, with smaller class sizes offering personalised attention. My favourite part of Sixth Form is the freedom of independent learning, allowing me to go at my own pace and have more control over my studies as I prepare for university.
#SELFQUESTION

Meet Florence
I love Music, Maths and Drama, but Drama is probably my favourite because the teacher makes it so much fun! And being part of clubs like ‘Rock & Pop’ enables me to play my guitar and explore my passion for performing arts. It’s such a great way to express myself and have fun with friends.

Meet Drew
The performing arts at Prior’s Field are amazing, teachers are always coming up with unique and creative ideas for shows. I plan to keep performing for the rest of my life, whether it’s professionally or alongside another career. And when I’m not on stage, debating club is one of my favourite places to be!

Meet Essie
Netball is my favourite sport because I love playing and winning with my team. I really enjoy sport, it’s fun, and a great form of exercise; and I appreciate the variety of sports on offer here and how expert the teachers and coaches are. Outside school, I play netball, but I might explore other sports as I get older. My favourite thing about Prior’s Field is the kindness and caring nature of everyone I meet, and the wonderful friends I’ve made.

Meet Jorge Tennis Coach
As a former ATP coach, now Performance Tennis Director, I can’t think of a better school than Prior’s Field for girls to achieve the best results, the school combines the best tennis coaching with a tailored academic timetable. Our tennis scholarship programme has nurtured and developed young tennis players from County, Regional and National levels, all the way to USA Tennis Universities. After all my years working here, I can say that Prior’s Field really helps our students become the best versions of themselves.
Meet Izzy
I appreciate the small class sizes and how well the teachers know me and my learning style. The close relationships and knowledge they provide are invaluable, and the Senior Prefect Leadership team offers leadership opportunities and the chance to connect with students from all year groups. After a gap year, I plan to study Classical Civilisation and pursue a career in law, and the supportive, home-like environment here will help me achieve my goals.
