Thank you for the opportunity to serve as President of the Indiana Osteopathic Association (IOA). I hope to share with you updates relevant to our profession in our state as well as my insights on the national and international levels as a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Board Mark S. Cantieri, D.O. of Trustees and Chair of IOA President the AOA Bureau of International Osteopathic Medicine. In March, the AOA held its midyear meeting in sunny southern California. The discussion of the first two days revolved around the development of Phase II of the strategic plan for the next three to five years. The board deliberated and gave GlobalStrat direction on the extent of a detailed plan to be developed. This follows Phase I which is addressing expense control and revenue enhancement, increasing osteopathic medical research, expanding OGME and enhancing its quality, enhancing public policy impact and launching a brand visibility campaign. The brand awareness campaign kicked off nationally from October 18 through November 23, 2015. The campaign was seen in national print with 242 million print impressions.
