Hello Truro! Through our Community Development work, I’m really pleased to introduce you to Hendra Community Group.

I’ve enjoyed working with Hendra over the last year, through surveys, consultations and events, and there is now a fully constituted group in Hendra with great ideas and ambition for where they live. The aims on their constitution are:

• To engage and improve the quality of life for the Hendra community. To include community and fundraising events. • To improve the area of Hendra. To include improvement of the facilities and physical and natural environment for everyone who lives in the locality. • To promote a friendly, healthy, brighter Hendra.

If you would like to 'bring the community together' where you live our Community Development Service is here to support you to do that. If you would like something like this to happen in your neighbourhood, get in touch on my details below. Starting by preparing the ground and planting seeds, we finish with a grand end of year show including prizes for the best veg and best kept allotments. The aim is to have loads of fun while learning and parents are very welcome to come along and help in our efforts. There is a meeting (see below) to gauge if there is enough interest in starting this exciting new group.’

Truro Repair Café Truro Repair Café went really well last month, it was held at Truro Community Library and was well attended by those that wanted to bring along

something that needed to be repaired by skilled volunteers or wanted to give a hand in helping others repair items. The Repair Café isn’t just about getting things fixed, it’s about meeting others too and that’s the driving force behind Truro Repair Café, a place where you can meet others and help or be helped at the same time…. a win win situation! For more information take a look at the flyer on the page next to this.
