But what if it’s not usable anymore or no one wanted it? Residents may bring waste to the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) Chesapeake Transfer Station at 901 Hollowell Lane, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Proof of residency is required and residential drop-offs are limited to 12 per calendar year. Any additional drop-offs will be charged $76 per ton with a minimum of $20.

The Greenbrier SPSA transfer station is open for residential customers on:

• Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

• Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bulk waste collection requests can be made by calling the Customer Contact Center at 757-382-CITY, online, or through the Chesapeake Service Request app.
