Casa Gabriela Comes to La Mesa!

The corner property at 8384 La Mesa Boulevard that was the Bo-beau kitchen+garden restaurant, has been transformed into an authentic Mexican eatery and cocktail bar called Casa Gabriela. Chef Gabriela Lopez has partnered with San Diego’s Cohn Restaurant Group to bring this new eatery to La Mesa. Chef Gabriela boasts Mexican dishes made with passeddown recipes from her family. Chef Gabriela, using her grandmother’s recipes from Guadalajara crossed with her cosmopolitan upbringing in Tijuana, brings a unique Mexican flavor to the table. Chef Gabby’s menu features authentic hand-crafted dishes and an imaginative take on many classic dishes. All of Baja California is represented along with influences from other regions in Mexico on the menu. Dishes to be enjoyed at Casa Gabriela’s are Ceviche Trio, Chicken Tinga, Ancho, Lime and Honey Salmon, Achiote Smoked Half Chicken, Enchiladas

Chef Gabriela Lopez was born and raised in Tijuana with her family living in Mexico’s Guadalajara and Nayarit regions. She also owned a catering company, consulted on menu development for various restaurants and was a private chef for Mexican celebrities, including boxer Canelo Alvarez. We are thrilled that she has chosen to bring her unique culinary skills to La Mesa and partner with the highly successful Cohn Restaurant Group to open Casa Gabriela located at 8384 La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa. Stop by and dine in the spacious outdoor garden, cozy loft, and private dining areas and enjoy a full bar with cocktails, margaritas, beer and wine between Tuesday – Sunday between the hours of 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
