Join us for a special birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss with crafts and a scavenger hunt!

Ages 1–3 with Caregiver Fridays, 10:30–11:00 a.m.

March 4, April 1, May 6 Breathing exercises, poses, music, and story time will be used to guide you through a fun time together. Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Registration required.

*Book Bingo: How to Catch a Leprechaun: Chinn Park

Grades K–5 Saturday, March 12, 2:30 p.m. We’ll meet up, read the book together, and then play Bingo using words from the book! One lucky participant will win a copy of “How to Catch a Leprechaun” by Adam Wallace. Registration required.

Four-Leaf Clover Hunt: Lake Ridge

All Ages March 14–19 Are you feeling lucky? Stop by Lake Ridge Library from March 14–19 and go on a four-leaf clover hunt. If you find the four-leaf clover, you will win a prize.

Hide and Go Peep®: Central

All Ages April 1–30 Peeps have infiltrated the library! Can you find them all? Kids can pick up a scavenger hunt card in the kids section and put their completed card in the monthly drawing bucket. Teens can pick up a scavenger hunt card in the teen section and turn in their completed card at the front desk. Hide and Go Peep can be played any time the library is open from April 1–30. Find those Peeps for a chance to win a sweet prize!

Music Instrument Petting Zoo: Dale City

Ages 3 and Up Saturday, April 2, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Curious about guitars? Wonder what it feels like to hold a violin? How big is a flute? The experts from Dale City Music will have an assortment of musical instruments for you to touch, hold, and learn about. Tokens will be passed out the day of the program to assign small groups of participants a 10-minute turn in the “petting zoo” area.

Unicorn Day!: Manassas City

Come celebrate National Unicorn Day at Manassas City Library! Join us for a fun day of unicorn-themed activities.

*Eggs Away–An Egg Drop Challenge: Chinn Park

Grades K–12 Wednesday, April 13, 2:00 p.m. Can you build an egg-cellent carrier for an uncooked egg that will survive a big drop? We'll provide the materials; you bring your creative engineering skills. If your egg survives the fall, you'll get a chance to win a prize. Prizes awarded for each age group. Registration required.

Central Green Grand Opening: Central

All Ages/Families Saturday April 23, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Come explore Central Library’s new outdoor space, Central Green, and celebrate Earth Day with us. There will be activities for all ages, including a small petting zoo and Touch-a-Truck!

Star Wars Fan Day: Chinn Park

All Ages Saturday, April 30, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Long ago, in a library far, far away… Join your friends at the library for Star Wars fun, including paper rocket launches, costume contests, and more! Members of the local Garrison of the 501st will talk about their costumes and judge yours!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Graduation: Chinn Park

Ages 2–7 with Caregiver Thursday, May 5, 10:30 a.m. We will celebrate those children and their families who completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program! Registration required.

Discovery Challenge

All Ages March 1–May 31 Explore Prince William County with the Discovery Challenge on Beanstack! Visit the four parks and historic sites on the challenge and complete each site's task. After you've successfully completed the challenge, stop by a library branch to pick up your winner's button.
