Creator God, Light of heaven, we praise you! Christ, light of the world, we greet you! Holy Spirit, light of God within us, we shine with your loveliness. Our lives are your praise. Our Being is your glory. God, you have created us to shine with your love. May your light redeem us, and reflect in us your beauty.

Gather Us In
FWS #2236
Prayer of Confession The grace of God be with you. And also with you. Trusting in God’s tender mercy, let us confess our sin to God with one another. Holy God, your light exposes our sin, but bathes us in grace. In the light of your love we see ourselves truly. We hold in your light all in us that is hurting and hurtful, release our judgment of ourselves and one another, and ask your healing and forgiveness. silence for prayer
Words of Assurance
God calls us to righteousness and mercy, just as Jesus was righteous and merciful. God's righteousness is compelled by love and by mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Amen.

Prayers of the People The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
