UNITED METHODIST STUDENT DAY TODAY Today we collect an offering to benefit United Methodist Student Day. Your gifts to United Methodist Student Day support scholarships for students who are poised to become the next generation of leaders in the church and the world. Last year our gifts combined with gifts from other local churches to United Methodist Student Day totaled $272,159.

We know you teach us we don't have to be afraid of death and of dying, God, yet we forget. Connect us once again to all of those who have gone before us into the mystery of death. We belong to the communion of saints, the great cloud of witnesses, who help us in our journey. We are yours.

We know you send us to be your hands and feet and heart in the world, God, but we often forget. Or we get discouraged when we don't do it perfectly. Remind us that you love us and send us anyway, just because we are yours. silence for prayer Words of Assurance Look around! Do you see? the people in front of you, the people behind you, the people on the other side of the room or the other side of the camera or screen? They are like you. And you are like them. Regular, ordinary, extraordinary saints. People we love and people we have yet to meet. Thirsting for love, for belonging, for the fullness of life.
