Buyer Registration and Settlement: All prospective buyers will need to register for a bidding number prior to the auction. Bidding numbers will be available at the sale preview on Friday afternoon and throughout Saturday prior to the auction in both the “Maine Alley” and near Sale Ring II in the Voinovich Center. Buyers will need a current driver’s license to register. Settlement will be made and health papers/insurance may be picked up at the clerk’s desk.

What a great event this has become and what a great lineup our breeders have brought out this year! I am so proud of this 2018 offering and I hope you can find some time in your schedule to attend the OMAA Sale this year because, if you don’t, you will be missing a lot.

Each year this sale rises up and presents something extraordinary. In the past we have sold elite donors and big league sires that have gone on to change the business. Many of today’s familiar pedigrees got their start in this event and, often times, at prices that seem crazy-cheap when you look back on them. It’s an auction and our breeders bring them to sell them, you never know what will happen. Remember when we sold Daddy’s Money for $7,250?

The Maine breed is hot and demand is high. New pedigrees are taking hold and the new “MaineAngus” division is really taking off; this year they’ll have their own show at the junior nationals and other spots. You need to add some good pedigrees to meet the demand and get more dollars out of your calf crops.

This is a big, strong offering of bulls; the best in the country. These guys will add some pounds, muscle, and look to your cow herd – the traits that pay. Our heifers are equally deep and high potential. Buy one and show her on Sunday if you like; last year we sold the eventual Reserve Champion through this sale and there are several that can do that and more this time. When you get your heifers in production, bring their calves back to sell – it works really well.

Study this catalog and select your favorites. Call the breeders and ask them about their cattle. Request photos or videos of your favorites. The quality runs extra deep this year and you can afford it.
