One of the main objectives of the conference is to highlight innovation and implementation through high-level programming and networking and this year we are delivering. Look no further than this year’s conference themes, which include automated vehicles, emerging technologies, mobility on demand and equitable transportation, smart and digital infrastructure, sustainability and resiliency, and V2X/connected vehicles. The infrastructure and transportation spaces are rapidly evolving, and we are confident that these themes will cover all the critical conversations needed to strengthen the industry's future and more. The conference will feature two plenary sessions focused on emerging technologies: “Digital Infrastructure and The Future of Mobility” and ways to update legacy systems for the digital age. The second plenary is “Implementing Innovation and Building an Equitable Transportation System” and ways ITS is simultaneously strengthening and decarbonising our technology systems. Further, the event will
highlight a state Department of Transportation roundtable in partnership with AASHTO and a city DOT Roundtable in collaboration with the Open Mobility Foundation. Tuesday’s Emergency Response Program will focus on emergency responders' needs and challenges on our roadways. Through workshops, curated educational sessions, live demonstrations, and more, the emergency response programming seeks to increase the personal safety of responders and motorists while restoring mobility for emergency, commercial, and personal traffic accidents.
The experiences don’t stop there. This year's event will feature several programs that inspire and reward work in the ITS space. On Wednesday, the ITS Awards Reception will take place, recognising the “Best of ITS Award” brought to you by Amazon Web Services, which honours the best partnership that has created an innovative project that advanced ITS technologies to benefit communities and the Best State Chapter award. system that, among other proprietary enhancements, also utilises multi-frame, high dynamic range (HDR) imaging to capture clear imagery, even when there is a dark building canyon on one approach and bright sunlight on the other, a common challenge in urban environments. The AC3, used for advanced or upstream detection, houses a new imaging system with stateof-the-art video stabilisation, allowing it to perform better over longer distances, even when mast arms bounce in the wind.

Bosch detection technology mimics the human brain
Real-time safety and data aggregation solutions for ITS will be the focus at the Bosch booth. Video sensors with embedded neural network-based video analytics for ITS will detect pedestrians in a crosswalk, heavy traffic on a highway, and congestion on an interchange. The cameras will trigger real-time alerts to partner devices for V2X communications, broadcasting safety messages to onboard units in connected vehicles. In addition to these demonstrations, the cameras can also alert on slow vehicles, stopped vehicles, and vehicles travelling the wrong way.
The built-in analytics detector uses technology based on neural network AI that attempts to mimic the human brain to learn from large amounts of data and

The VS265 HD camera supports H.265, H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG compression. It supports 1080P, 720p, SD and below SD resolution if needed. Citilog’s ADL is the key to scalable traffic safety improvements
Forward-thinking cities around the world are using artificial intelligence (AI) in traffic management to improve safety and reduce congestion. The biggest challenge with most AI technologies is that they cannot match the keen eye and cognition of human traffic professionals, leading to false positives and distracting from actual roadway calamities.

Helping reduce travel times for Wisconsin project
Image Sensing Systems will be highlighting how its RTMS Echo is part of the technology used in the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s first flex lane on the Madison Beltline in Dane County. The flex lane is an innovative solution to ease backups during the busiest times and provide reliability for motorists. The Echo monitors the traffic volume on the highway's mainline lanes. When traffic levels hit a certain volume threshold,
a notification is sent, and the system automatically opens the median shoulder lane to allow vehicles to start using the lane. The additional lane is typically used during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours. Since the Flex Lane has been in use, travel times have reduced on average by 45% and drivers have noticed less congestion and traffic backups on the Beltline.
