Dr Ranj Singh - Nurturing
Meet
During the coronavirus pandemic Dr Ranj used his position as a medical expert to debate and challenge some of the false information that was being communicated as well as dedicating himself to his work with the NHS in hospitals.
Dr Ranj
Dr Ranj is a very nurturing person; he shows kind heartedness and teaches others how to look after their own health and well-being really well. Dr Ranj has become an influential NHS doctor, television presenter and author.
As a boy, Ranj worked hard at school, he loved to learn and took his first GCSE when he was only eight years old. Ranj loved science and helping others; he found the perfect combination of both in medicine and worked hard to become a doctor. Dr Ranj now works within a team of doctors and medical professionals at a hospital for children and young people.
His desire to care for young people led him into presenting television shows
for children, where he explains different health problems and how a doctor might treat them.
He helps to support his young patients by familiarising them with a hospital environment and what a hospital appointment might look like. Dr Ranj encourages children to listen to their bodies and to speak to someone they trust about anything that is worrying them.
Dr Ranj embodies what it is to be nurturing, to listen to and support others. He uses his knowledge to share facts and debate false information around health and encourages others to take responsibility for their own health. Dr Ranj shows that studying hard and sharing what you have learnt, with kindness, can help to make the world a better place.
