At the end of each term a learning journey will be shared with parents, via the parent portal, that will have a range of evidence from all curriculum areas for that term.

EHCP Review Evidence Included in all pupils EHCP review paperwork will be a learning journey. This will enable you to see evidence that highlights the progress that your child has made towards their targets. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s achievements and see the progress they have made in their social skills, independence and personal skills and learning.

Parent Portal – Parents Sharing Photos and Videos Parents are also able to use the parent portal to upload photos and videos as well. Teachers love seeing what pupils have been doing at home so please feel free to share any photos or videos.

Hollywater School – Curriculum Information Hollywater School website - Department page and Weekly Updates The Hollywater School website www.hollywaterschool.co.uk has a range of information for you to access about school, the curriculum, policies and procedures. Within the website you can access weekly updates. This section enables you to see what your child has been doing each week in school (these are updated every Monday).

Evidence for Learning : Future Developments Evidence for Learning have informed us that a new app version of the system will be available for parents to download. This will make accessing information from school a lot easier and it will also make sharing evidence with school a lot easier too. This is a very exciting development and Hollywater have signed up to be an early adopter school so please keep an eye out for information in the coming weeks.

You can also find out about whole school events that have taken place as well as see termly updates of the department pages in the pupils section of the website.

Within the key information section you can access the curriculum maps. These provide parents with an overview of what your child will be learning for all curriculum areas each term.

Assessment Frameworks Last year teachers worked collaboratively across school to develop an assessment framework for all curriculum subjects that enabled them to show the progress pupils were making in school. The assessment frameworks for each subject consist of the following : Hollywater levels H1 to H9 progressing to year group levels Year 1 to Year 6.

Within each level teachers are able to assess whether the pupils are Emerging, Developing, Secure or Mastered.

Newsletters Each term a newsletter is put together and shared with parents via email and a copy can also be found on the school website.

Teachers use these assessment frameworks and assessment criteria to make and record assessment judgements at three points in the year.

The end of year assessments are shared and discussed with parents at the EHCP review. You will also see these assessment judgements on the evidence that is shared with you via the parent portal.

Hollywater School – Assessment Information Evidence for Learning At Hollywater School we use an online assessment tool called ‘Evidence for Learning’ to enable us to evidence and assess the progress pupils achieve both in and out of school. This online assessment system also enables us to share the evidence gathered with parents via the parent portal. All parents are setup with login information ( if you need assistance with this then please contact the office ).

Class teachers will be sharing a piece of evidence with you each month. This will enable you to see the exciting learning opportunities being provided to pupils at school. You can log on now to see the evidence shared for September and you can look forward to seeing the Harvest evidence at the end of October.
