19 Large Converted Oil Lamp A large and impressive converted oil lamp, the multi-piece crystal body hung with cut and faceted drops, resting on a cast and gilt base decorated with acanthus leaves affixed to a slate plinth.

The lamp retains its original burner with maker’s marks for Messangers no. 2 duplex. Measuring 34” high.

26 Very Fine Pair Of Gilt Bronze Six-Light Candelabra A very fine pair of 19th century French ‘Belle Époque’ gilt bronze six-light candelabra, the five foliate cast branches terminating to urn-shaped nozzles surmounted by a single nozzle with removable flambeau, rising from three finely cast & chiseled supports draped with garlands atop a circular base on adjustable feet. Apparently unsigned, however the overall quality in terms of form, casting & gilding strongly speaks to the Barbedienne Foundry. Height, 25.75”.

MASSICOTTE (1875-1929) Canadian Edmond-Joseph Massicotte, nineteen (19) offset-lithographic images, along with one hand-coloured print, each depicting life in rural Quebec in the early 20th century. Each image retains its original vivid colour and is signed in the plate by Massicotte. Note: Massicotte was a prolific Quebec graphic artist in the late 19th century with an early focus on the Art Nouveau Movement. After training with William Brymner in Montreal and by 1908, his style changed to reflect the various classes of Quebec society. The images in this lot pay hommage to the common, hard working people of Quebec during that time.

8. Unless exempted by law, the buyer must pay applicable taxes on the total purchase price. The buyer’s premium is added before the applicable taxes. 9. Unless exempted by law, the buyer is required to pay HST on the total purchase price including the buyer’s premium. For international buyers, taxes are not applicable when purchases are shipped out of Canada. For items shipped out of the province, the buyer is required to PAY TAXES as per their provincial tax status, whether it is HST, GST and PST. Including for Quebec buyers, there is GST and QST. | À moins d’être exempté par la loi, l’acheteur est tenu de payer la TVH sur le prix d’achat total, y compris la prime de l’acheteur. 12. The Auctioneer has the right to refuse any bid and to advance the bidding at his absolute discretion. The auctioneer reserves the right not to accept and to reject any bid. Without limitation, any bid which is not commensurate with the value of the article offered, or which is merely a nominal or fractional advance over the previous bid may not be recognized. | Pridham’s a le droit de refuser toute offre et d’avancer l’appel d’offres à son entière discrétion. 14. The highest bidder accepted by the Auctioneer for any lot shall be the buyer and such buyer shall forthwith assume full risk and responsibility for the lot and must comply with such other Conditions of Sale as may be applicable. If any dispute should arise between bidders, the Auctioneer shall have the absolute discretion to designate the buyer or, at his option, to withdraw any disputed lot from the sale, or to re-offer it at the same or a subsequent sale. 16. Pridham’s will share your information, not your credit card number, with UPS. Once your purchase is with UPS, you will liaise directly with them for packing, insuring, shipping, and payment. Please take note that UPS charges are commensurate with the amount of packing required, size, weight, destination, etc and NOT with the hammer price. Please ask for a shipping quote before the auction, if you are concerned, not after you buy an item. Sales will not be cancelled if shipping is too expensive. For larger items (ex. furniture), please call us (1-877-533-5877) to discuss a pick-up schedule (within 5 business days) or carrier shipping. A list of suggested shippers is available. 20. The Auctioneer acts solely as agent for the seller and makes no representation as to any attribute of, title to, or restriction affecting the articles in the sale.
