Partnership with the qathet Art Centre. Get creative with historical still life as your source of inspiration! A different guest artist will guide each class. Supplies can be provided or bring your own! Suggested donation: $10.00/person
Papermaking Get hands-on making your own paper out of recycled materials and learn about local paper mill history! May 28 | 1:00 - 2:00 pm Family Friendly. At the Museum. Suggested donation: $5.00/person ʔayʔaǰuθəm Language Workshop Learn from Betty Wilson, the ʔayʔaǰuθəm language; a Coast Salish language spoken in the Georgia Strait region. June 25 | 1:00 - 3:00 pm $15.00/person at the Museum.
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and valid government ID is required for all in-person programs. Masks are also mandatory for anyone over 5 years old. We will adapt as COVID-19 Provincial Health Orders are released.

Once a month from March to June, guest speakers will discuss a variety of topics: March 10 | 6:30 - 8:00 pm qathet Forest History with Dave Florence April 7 | 6:30 - 8:00 pm Indigenous & Cultural Use of the Forest with Drew Blaney May 12 | 6:30 - 8:00 pm 50 Years of Forestry: Progress and Change with Rod Tysdal June 11 | 1:00 - 2:30 pm What is Old Growth Forest? with Janet May Tickets $5.00/person per talk (buy online, by phone, or in-person) Where: attend in person at the Museum (limited spots) or via Zoom

Poetry Slam: The Language of Trees
Participate in an afternoon of poetry performances with some friendly competition! The theme this year will surround forests. Contact us for more information. April 23 | 1:00 pm at the FCU room in the Library Free to enter. Everyone Welcome! There will be prizes for top poets and runner-ups!
