Orran offers the children painting and ceramic classes under the guidance and instruction of Eva Martirosyan. This art work is the creation of six Orran children. It depicts the 38 letters of the Armenian alphabet with pictures of objects for each letter. The children have worked on it for one full month.
His work has been exhibited worldwide; he has represented Armenia in numerous international art exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale. As Ararat says: “I have always believed that a crossstone is a living thing. I went on to painstakingly recreate cross-stones that were razed to the ground in Nakhichevan, attempting to give these vanished monuments a new lease on life through paint and hand-made paper.”
Ararat Sarkissian is a well-known artist, recognized as an Honoured Artist of Armenia and known as a recreator of Armenian print-making traditions. Twenty-five years ago, he decided to learn papermaking for one of his projects, and hence went to Jordan to develop his skills. Recognizing that this is a dying craft, he has since passed on his skill to many people, mostly of the younger generation. Using a combination of print-making techniques, recycled paper, painting, and okra, Ararat’s work is suffused with age-old symbols, both worldly and Armenia- specific. He is fascinated with old maps and alphabets but his most famous series is The Cross, reflecting the unique Armenian design of this church symbol. This prolific artist has also produced a large number of hand-made books and catalogues to illustrate his ideas.
Ararat is concerned about the identity and memory of nations and always strives to preserve something of value, such as destroyed Armenian cross-stones. Measurement:
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a world-class professional soccer player who stars as an attacking midfielder or winger for Serie A club Inter Milan. He is the first Armenian ever to play in the English Premier League and the first to win a major European trophy, the UEFA Europe League 2017, when he scored the winning goal for Manchester United FC in the finals in Stockholm. In January 2018, he joined Arsenal FC and in 2019 transferred to Roma, thereafter to Milan. Henrikh has played in over 425 games and has scored over 146 goals. Henrikh Mkhitaryan was born on January 21, 1980, in Yerevan Armenia. His father was a prominent striker for FC Ararat Yerevan during the 1980s. Henrikh has also captained his National Team and has won the Armenian Footballer of the Year award more than any other player. More money has been paid for his transfer than for any other player from the former Soviet countries.
date. Somewhere between the mist of Turner and the drips and splashes of Rauschenberg, Vera stands tall on today’s contemporary art scene for her reinvigoration and renewal not only of a painting style, but also a frame of mind.” (By: Simone Cappa, NY ARTS)
Los Angeles based artist Vera Arutyunyan combines primary colors and an aggressive brushstroke style to ward a decidedly contemporary version of Abstract Expressionism. Although the masters of the 50s like Pollack and de Kooning created similar aesthetic 40 years prior, Vera’s emotionally charged paintings appear forever in the moment. The artist’s vigorous and defined brushstrokes are filled to the brim with the very energy of her technique - the very motions of her wrist. In total, they are primary color-infused visions of action painting forever frozen in time. If every element of the artist’s application process is clearly readable upon her finished canvas, Vera means it that way. Highly conscious of all the masters who have tried their hand at the blank canvas before her, Vera paints on, and with a vengeance that brings the viewer up to-
As Vera says: “The world of painting is the primary plane on which I live. Though I may not be physically in front of a canvas, in my mind I am always surrounded by a play of colors. I have no control over which color the eye of my mind sees. If anything, the predominant incorporation of the red-based palette has chosen me. It is the same with a musician who writes notes with which he plays, but only hears the melody.” Vera has earned international acclaim. She has participated in a variety of solo and group shows, biennales, galleries and museums in the United States and throughout the world.

Born in Armenia, Tigran Tsitoghdzyan lives between Yerevan and New York. He holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Ecole Cantonale d’Art du Valais in Switzerland
Tigran had his first solo local and international exhibits by the age of ten. In 2012, the artist began a series titled Mirrors. In September 2014, Mirror V, one of Tigran’s works from the Mirrors series, was sold at the Phillips Auction in New York.
In 2018, the documentary American Mirror: Intimations of Immortality, directed by Arthur Balder was released. Tigran Tsitoghdzyan and his paintings are included in the film.
In May 2021, Cube Art Fair, the world’s largest public art fair, featured Tigran’s works in a billboard in Times Square as part of an initiative to highlight art that was conceived during the lockdown.
In 2015, for the first time since his departure from the Homeland, Tigran returned to Yerevan for a solo exhibition. The show at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, exhibited six of the artist’s 100” X 70”

In 2018, Tigran had his first solo exhibit Tigran Tsitoghdzyan: Uncanny in New York’s Allouche Gallery featuring an array of the artist’s recent works. A year later, his works were shown at the Emmanuel Fremin Gallery as Tigran Tsi: Mirrors Reimagined exhibition. Later that same year, Tigran’s works were included in the 25th anniversary of Opera Gallery’s Monaco Master’s Show, a contemporary art show sponsored by Prince Albert II of Monaco. In 2021, during Singapore Art Week, the Opera Gallery in Singapore exhibited an exclusive body of work created by the artist for this exhibit. Tigran is a long-time supporter and friend of Orran as evidenced by the photos below with our children as well as the laureates of the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity.
