For Chad Thibodeaux, education isn’t just a stepping stone—it’s a lifelong journey. With a background in engineering and business, his career has been defined by innovation and problem-solving. He earned an Engineering degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and an MBA from Baylor University, building a career in automation solutions for the logistics industry. Yet, in 2023, he shifted his focus to something even more personal: helping students reach their full potential through tutoring. His passion for education stems from his childhood struggles with math, when a tutor helped him build the confidence and skills that would later propel him to academic success. That transformative experience shaped his belief in the power of one-on-one guidance, inspiring him to create CSL Tutoring, a tutoring business that fosters curiosity, builds confidence, and helps students navigate their educational journeys with excitement and possibility.

Preston Hollow Neighbors: What subjects does CSL offer tutoring in, and what age groups do you serve?

Chad Thibodeaux: CSL offers subject tutoring from PreK through college. We love working with beginner readers all the way to Calculus and Physics students and everything in between! Our tutors have specialties in various subjects and are all college educated and many of them are educators in the education field.

PHN: Do you provide language tutoring, and which languages can students learn with CSL?

CT: CSL offers language tutoring in Spanish, French, and German.

PHN: What types of tutoring formats does CSL offer, and how are sessions conducted?

CT: CSL offers both group and individual tutoring classes. All classes are face-to-face for best instruction - no online tutoring. Our tutors come to you. Tutoring can occur in the comfort of the home, a central location/venue, or in some cases, the student’s school.

PHN: Does CSL provide test prep services, and which exams do you help students prepare for?

CT: CSL offers test prep for ISEE, ACT, and SAT with tailored programs for your students. Our staff will customize the program based on an evaluation of the student and any test results.

PHN: How does CSL support students with the college admissions process?

CT: CSL offers college prep, including essay writing, interviewing, and strategies to navigate the admissions process. From identifying college-specific requirements to brainstorming and refining essays, we’ll help your student present their best self to prospective schools. Our staff will develop a personalized plan to minimize stress while maximizing your student’s chances of acceptance into their top-choice colleges.
