Unique properties for those who prefer something a little out of the ordinary.

As expected, our collection offers courteous good service and several properties are quite small affording a very personal level of care. Some are rural and others are located right in the heart of things, or are historic, or you might just like “quirky” hotels that offer a wonderfully different style, that makes you smile. Perhaps dining is important to you? We have hotels that use organic produce grown sustainably in the hotel gardens.

At Prestige we love to work with special hotels, that we know our guests will love time and time again. Hotels that take great pride in offering the best experience in wonderful surroundings, where nothing is too much trouble. If you don’t want to follow the crowds and prefer something a little bit different, then browse through the selection of hotels we offer in Sicily and the Italian Lakes.

Discover Sicily

Welcome to Sicily

History

Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, has a history shaped by its strategic location and fertile land. Sicily was fought over and colonised by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Moors and the Normans. Each left its mark on the island providing a rich collection of stunning Greek temples and sites, namely those of Segesta, Agrigento, Selinunte and Siracusa, beautifully frescoed Norman churches, the Roman Villa at Piazza Armerina and small baroque gems such as Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli and Ortigia are simply breathtaking. Today, Sicily reflects this layered past in its architecture, cuisine, and traditions, blending Mediterranean influences into a unique cultural identity.

Gastronomy

Sicily is a gastronomist’s paradise and reflects the islands multicultural history. Take Italy’s delicious cuisine and embellish it with wonderful local sun-drenched produce, together with spices brought over by the Moors.

Western Sicily’s couscous with fish, pasta dishes using fennel, pistachio and raisins, fresh seafood. Sicilian ice cream, probably the best in Italy, served up in a sweet brioche bun and the ‘granita’ (water ice) is simply divine. From humble street food to elaborate feasts, Sicilian cuisine embodies both tradition and diversity, offering a true taste of the Mediterranean. Wine production is improving every year, with some excellent reds, such as the fruity Cerasuolo di Vittoria and fine whites such as Inzolia. We can even offer properties specialising in gastronomy with cooking lessons!

Nature

Sicily’s nature is as diverse and dramatic as its history, offering a striking mix of landscapes shaped by both mountains and sea. Dominating the eastern part of the island is Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, whose fertile slopes nurture vineyards, orchards, and forests. Sicily also hosts unique ecosystems, from the salt flats and wetlands in the west that attract migratory

birds to nature reserves like the Lo Zingaro, with its wild cliffs and fragrant Mediterranean scrub. Olive groves, citrus orchards, and almond trees blanket much of the Sicilian countryside, adding to the island’s sensory richness. This blend of volcanic energy, lush vegetation, and marine beauty makes Sicily a natural paradise where wildness and cultivation coexist. Spring is a wonderful time to visit with beautiful fields of wild flowers providing a striking contrast to rolling green hills and deep blue skies reflecting against the lovely Mediterranean.

Beaches

Sicily’s beaches are among the most captivating in the Mediterranean, offering a wide variety of coastal experiences. Boasting a fine collection of both sand and pebble beaches, providing safe bathing and some excellent snorkelling. For those looking for the ultimate in beautiful, wide sandy beaches, San Vito Lo Capo is reminiscent of the tropics, with its fine white sand and crystal-clear waters. Cefalu’s long sandy beach, with excellent bathing, is very close to both its lively resort centre and hotels. The Zingaro Nature Reserve has some lovely little pebble coves with superb snorkelling, as do the rocky inlets around Taormina.

Sicily Fly-drive and Multi-centre Holidays

Freestyle. Your pace. More in one holiday.

Due to the size and the fantastic variety of landscapes, Sicily is an ideal touring destination. Main roads are generally good and you normally collect a hire car at your arrival airport and drop it there when you fly home or if you prefer private transfers can also be arranged for you.

We are pleased to offer bespoke itineraries for any duration and to provide specialist advice on your choice of hotels according to what you are looking for during your stay. A few suggested experiences are shown on the following pages for your perusal.

Distances

The following driving times are approximate and are average times. Depending on chosen route/monthday of travel etc which could affect traffic flow, driving times may be slightly shorter or longer.

Palermo

Cefalu 1 hour 20 minutes

Palermo Agrigento 2 hours 15 minutes

Siracusa/Ortigia

Siracusa/Ortigia

Giardini Naxos

Car hire

3 hours 15 minutes

Car hire is not required for stays in Siracusa/Ortigia, Cefalu, Taormina or Palermo. It’s best to use private transfers to and from the airport whilst in these resorts, or in the case of a multi-centre holiday consider a combination of private transfers and car hire to best suit your itinerary.

A car is not recommended in Ortigia, Taormina or Palermo Centre. Car parking spaces in historic town centres are limited and although most city hotels do provide valet parking, this is expensive and in many cases some distance from the hotel.

Please note the difference between not required and not recommended. Most historic centres have limited traffic zones, best explored on foot.

Rural stays in Sicily

Aside from a superb range of hotels, Sicily also offers the more independent traveller an alternative style of accommodation - rural properties tend to be small and friendly, family run establishments ranging from charmingly restored farmhouses to wineries or olive oil estates.

These delightful character dwellings generally have a smaller number of bedrooms and operate very much on an informal guesthouse style basis as opposed to the more formal set up experienced in most hotels.

It is a perfect way to really step into and experience the true Sicilian culture and way of life. Many of our delightful properties also reflect Sicily's rich history, in the shape of an ex-Norman Fortress or a restored Moorish `Baglio' or `Masseria' (farmhouse).

One of the joys of Sicily has to be partaking in both preparing and tasting the amazing cuisine it has to offer, using fresh local products along with the excellent range of wines this beautiful island boasts. For wine lovers, Relais Torre Marabino, Relais Santa Anastasia and Baglio Oneto all produce their own top notch varieties and it is possible to arrange both wine tastings and visits to their respective vineyards and wineries. Mandranova produce their own award- winning olive oil.

Staying in a rural property is ideal for those looking for an authentic Sicilian holiday with gastronomy high on their list of priorities and who would like the freedom of exploring Sicily by car. Located in different regions of this fascinating island, these properties make for a culturally varied and enticing multi-centre itinerary, as well as offering the opportunity to sample the best food and wine each region has to offer.

Baroque South East

Fly to Catania

Stunningly beautiful towns, with breathtaking architecture, gorgeous beaches and irresistible food and wine, this is Sicily’s South East.

Siracusa, one of Sicily’s most ancient and fascinating cities, was founded by Greek settlers, it is renowned for its rich blend of history, archaeology, and coastal beauty.

The heart of the city is Ortigia, a charming island filled with Baroque palaces, narrow lanes, and the stunning Cathedral of Syracuse. With its vibrant market, seafront promenades, and deep historical layers, Siracusa offers visitors a captivating journey through time.

The baroque beauties of Noto, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa Ibla are easy to reach and carry an air of authenticity, with friendly locals, beautiful churches and tempting trattorias. Be sure to try the local Cerasuolo di Vittoria, unique to this area and perhaps Sicily’s most exclusive red wine.

Scicli, a baroque jewel, boasts a myriad of lovely churches intertwined with piazzas. Many ‘Montalbano’ scenes are filmed here. Ragusa is split between the historic Ragusa Ibla, with its maze of baroque palaces and churches, and the newer upper town.

Modica, nestled among dramatic hills is renowned for its splendid Baroque churches, such as San Giorgio

and San Pietro, which dominate the town.

Beyond its architecture, Modica is also famous for its ancient chocolate-making tradition, introduced by the Spanish and still crafted today.

Noto, is celebrated as the jewel of Sicilian Baroque and stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rebuilt after the catastrophic earthquake of 1693. Its crown jewel is the Cathedral of San Nicolò, overlooking the central Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a street lined with ornate palaces, churches, and grand staircases. Noto is often described as a “stone garden” for the sheer beauty and uniformity of its architecture, making it one of the most captivating historic towns in Italy.

Car parking spaces in historic town centres are limited, carry a charge and may be some distance away from the hotel.

A short drive from these enchanting towns takes you to some lovely coastline and sandy beaches, including the wild and completely unspoilt Vendicari Nature Reserve.

Western Sicily

Fly to Palermo or Catania

This part of the island has the most African of landscapes and a really exotic feel to it with palm trees, souk-style markets, Moorish ‘bagli’ (farmhouses) and wide stretches of beautiful sandy beaches backed by a dramatic coastline.

Untrodden by mass tourism, this area hosts an impressive collection of ancient Greek and Phoenician sites, such as Segesta, the impressive Valley of the Temples and Selinunte.

Probably the most breathtaking section of Sicily’s coastline lies in the North West; starting from the typically Sicilian fishing town of Castellammare del Golfo with its winding alleyways and streets leading down to the harbour, where fishing boats still bob on their moorings. This is a busy port during the summer months. From here the coast snakes its way along the Zingaro Nature Reserve, through to San Vito Lo Capo, an extremely popular beach town with a huge expanse of white sand lapped by crystal clear azure waters. Further, after Monte Cofano, the towering Mount San Giuliano is dominated by the hilltop medieval gem of Erice. A cable car connects Erice with the bustling town of Trapani, whose offshore Egadi Islands represent the ultimate in a superb ‘off the beaten track’ sea and sun experience!

If all you want to do is simply relax on a beautiful beach, then look no further than the white sands of San Vito Lo Capo or the wide golden expanse of beach at Selinunte. However these are more enjoyable outside of peak season. The wild and beautiful south west coast is more reminiscent of a Pacific one with long, wide stretches of sand, wind and waves, whilst the inviting north west shoreline has a more Mediterranean feel, with small rocky inlets and clear calm waters.

Foodies will love Western Sicily. Fresh seafood abounds, enjoy local specialities fish cous cous (the Ghibli‘s restaurant is perhaps the best in San Vito) or pasta ‘al nero di seppie’ (squid ink). Grab a ‘cassatella’ (pastry filled with warm ricotta) or a superb gelato in Castellammare del Golfo.

Wherever you decide to base yourself in the West, distances are comfortably covered by car with a good motorway network and little traffic, connecting the north, west and south coasts.

Palermo

Fly to Palermo

A fascinating city, Palermo has been shaped and created by an eclectic mix of civilisations which fought over and colonised Sicily.

Rich in history, art, architecture and lively street life, Sicily’s vibrant capital is not only a living museum but also provides the visitor with a valuable insight into the life of everyday working Sicilians. This cultural crossroads is full of atmosphere, noises, smells, a real assault on the senses, with unexpected vistas around each corner. Exploring this city really is a true adventure, perfect for a visit any time of year.

For lovers of art and architecture Palermo boasts a myriad of attractions, from the impressive façade of its Norman cathedral to the breathtaking mosaics at the Palatine Chapel. Arab-Norman Palermo and the Monreale Cathedral are now part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The gold leaf ceiling mosaics of the Monreale Cathedral just outside the city are simply stunning. The Teatro Massimo showcases one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful opera houses. Visitors are also drawn to the eerie yet fascinating

Capuchin Catacombs, where mummified bodies line the corridors.

The city’s bustling markets like Ballarò and the Mercato del Capo offer a taste of authentic street food culture. Here you will find mouth-watering delights such as ‘pane panelle’ (sesame buns filled with fried chick peas) to a freshly grilled slice of tuna or pesce spada (swordfish). Fashionable cafés and ‘pasticcerie’ adorn Palermo’s bustling piazzas showing off a wide array of delicious, sweet pastries and ice creams, a constant reminder of the island’s Arabic domination.

Browse the incredible souks - more reminiscent of North Africa than Italy! Here, heaped spices in wicker baskets follow the colours of the rainbow, where ‘Palermitani’ barter for their daily quota of sun-drenched vegetables and fruit.

We do not recommend car hire in Palermo.

Cefalu

Fly to Palermo

Blessed with a long sandy beach, one of the most beautiful on the island, an enchanting old town against a stunning mountain backdrop and plenty of Sicilian character, Cefalu is the perfect resort. The medieval old town of Cefalu is a designated UNESCO site.

Located on Sicily’s verdant north coast and just an hour east of Palermo, Cefalu’s stunning Norman cathedral dominates the skyline, overlooking the pretty main piazza of this vibrant town. Shops and street lined cafés abound, whilst cosy trattoria terraces spill out toward the azure waters of this lovely bay. Cefalu’s fabulous climate together with the fact that it is a year round inhabited centre ensures a very long season.

To one side of the historic centre and just a few minutes on foot lies Cefalu’s long sandy beach, which is perfect for safe swimming and sunbathing. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire on the beach usually between June and September. On the other side of the headland known as ‘La Rocca’, there is a small port offering boat excursions in high season. The majority of hotels, shops, bars and restaurants are situated in

the historic centre and behind Cefalu’s beach, hence it’s easy to get around on foot and so a car is not really essential here.

Inland from this lovely resort is the stunning Madonie Regional Park, a mountainous region dotted with villages, offering a striking contrast to the coast. Just a little way along the coast lies the ‘Town of Ceramics’ Santo Stefano di Camastra. Palermo is less than an hour’s train ride away, and Cefalu is also very well placed to visit attractions in both the west and the east of the island, such as Taormina, Agrigento and Segesta by car.

Cefalu, one of Sicily’s most picturesque coastal towns, you can enjoy a perfect mix of history, culture, and seaside relaxation.

Taormina & Giardini Naxos

Fly to Catania

Sophisticated, stylish and elegant Taormina is undoubtedly Sicily’s premier resort, and justifiably so.

Perched high up in the most dramatic of locations and boasting incredible views across the blue Mediterranean with majestic Mount Etna as a backdrop, Taormina’s lush and tropical flora intermingles in perfect harmony with its great selection of lovely hotels.

The enchanting old town has a superb choice of restaurants, bars and cafés, not to mention a fine array of boutiques. A beautiful Greek amphitheatre, located right in the centre, looks out over Etna and the Ionian Sea and provides a magical atmosphere for the many concerts held here throughout the summer. A cable car whisks you down to Taormina Mare in no time, where you can relax, swim and snorkel among the lovely coves and pebble beaches.

Below on the coast lies the bustling town and resort of Giardini Naxos, with its long curved bay, wide choice of amenities and perfectly located beachfront hotels. Giardini Naxos is very quiet in low season and many of

Palermo

the bars and restaurants will be closed. The best time to visit is between April - October.

Should you be tempted to drag yourself away from this heavenly bliss, the Taormina area is well located to visit a number of Sicily’s top attractions - to the North East lie the fascinating volcanic Aeolian Islands, whilst to the South an ascent of Mount Etna affords the most spectacular of views. The beautiful baroque gem of Ortigia is just a day trip away, whilst closer to home the Alcantara Gorge offers natural beauty with outdoor activities. Get close to the real Sicily and visit ‘off the beaten track’ authentic villages in the Val D’Agro, where many of the scenes from ‘The Godfather’ were filmed.

It’s very easy to get around on foot, therefore a car is not necessary in Taormina. Car parking spaces are very limited, carry a high charge and may be some distance away from your hotel.

Welcome to Lake Garda

Fly to Verona

Geography

The largest of Italy’s lakes, Lake Garda stretches across three regions and owes its origins to a vast glacier that once flowed down from the Dolomites. Its northern shores have a distinct “lakes and mountains” atmosphere, where the water narrows between dramatic cliffs and towering peaks, an alpine landscape that takes your breath away. Further south, the scenery softens into a Mediterranean escape. Here the lake opens to its widest point, framed by olive groves, vineyards, and even palm trees, creating a sun-soaked setting that feels worlds away from the rugged north.

History

Gastronomy

Framed by the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, and Lombardy, Lake Garda has always been more than just a beautiful landscape, it’s a place where history and culture meet. For centuries, its strategic position made it a prize for empires and republics alike. The Romans left behind grand villas like the Grottoes of Catullus in Sirmione, the Republic of Venice built castles and harbours to secure its rule, and the Austrians fortified the area before Italy’s unification. Today, visitors can wander through medieval towns, explore lakeside fortresses, and discover stories of trade, power, and battles that shaped this remarkable corner of Europe.

Lake Garda’s cuisine is as varied and inviting as its landscapes, with each of the three regions offering specialties you won’t want to miss. In Trentino, at the northern tip, try Carne Salada, thinly sliced, lightly spiced salted beef, often served with beans or bread. Head south into Lombardy, where handmade pasta reigns and dishes like Lo Spiedo, succulent meats slowroasted on a skewer, showcase centuries of tradition.

On the Veneto side, the lake itself takes centre stage, inspiring delicious recipes such as Tagliolini al Coregone (fresh pasta with whitefish) or Risotto alla Tinca, made with tench, a local delicacy.

To accompany it all, sample the superb wines and olive oils of the region, especially in Valtenesi, home to the award-winning rosé Chiaretto and the bold local reds Groppello, Marzemino, and Bardolino.

Southern Lake

Excellent access to visit other resorts and the enchanting cities of Verona, Venice and Milan.

SIRMIONE - At the tip of a slender peninsula stretching into Lake Garda, Sirmione is one of the lake’s most enchanting destinations. Famous for its thermal springs, medieval streets, and stunning lake views, this little town blends history, relaxation, and romance. Step back in time as you cross the drawbridge of the Scaliger Castle, a fairy-tale fortress rising straight from the water, or wander through the atmospheric old town lined with boutiques, cafés, and gelaterias. Don’t miss the Grottoes of Catullus, the impressive Roman villa ruins overlooking the lake, where history and breathtaking scenery come together.

Whether you’re soaking in thermal waters, exploring ancient landmarks, or simply enjoying an aperitivo by the shore, Sirmione is a jewel of Lake Garda you’ll never forget.

Step beyond the bustle of Sirmione’s historic centre and discover a peaceful green headland, perfect for a leisurely stroll among olive groves and shaded paths. Along the way, you’ll find quiet spots to sit and take in the lake views, as well as shingle beaches like Lido delle Bionde, ideal for a swim in the shallow, clear waters. A visit to the impressive Grottoes of Catullus, the ruins of a grand Roman villa, is a highlight, and if you’d rather not walk, hop aboard the

trenino, Sirmione’s tourist train. To round off your day, indulge in the town’s famous thermal spas, where natural hot springs offer the perfect recipe for relaxation and pampering.

DESENZANO DEL GARDA - Lively and welcoming, Desenzano del Garda is the largest town on Lake Garda and a perfect blend of history, culture, and lakeside style. Its pretty harbour, elegant piazzas, and café-lined promenades make it an ideal spot for a relaxed stroll, while boutiques and weekly markets add a touch of Italian flair. History lovers can explore the Roman villa with its beautiful mosaics, the medieval castle with panoramic views, or the town’s archaeological museum. By night, Desenzano comes alive with vibrant bars and restaurants that draws both locals and visitors. With excellent ferry connections, it’s also the perfect base for exploring the lake, for nearby Salo, Gardone Riviera and Sirmione. Whether you’re here for shopping, sightseeing, or simply soaking up the lively atmosphere, Desenzano offers a true taste of Lake Garda’s charm.

Both resorts are perfect for a longer stay or short break and a fantastic base for those looking for an authentic Italian atmosphere.

Central Lake

Enjoy leisurely days on the ferry or hydrofoil visiting beautiful resorts around the lake.

SALÒ - Nestled along a sweeping gulf on Lake Garda’s western shore, Salò is a town full of charm, elegance, and history. Its beautiful waterfront promenade is the longest on the lake, perfect for a leisurely stroll past cafés, boutiques, and colourful buildings. The historic centre invites you to wander through narrow streets and piazzas, where you’ll find lively markets, stylish shops, and traditional trattorias. Salò also has a fascinating past, it once served as the capital of the short-lived Italian Social Republic during World War II, yet today it is best known for its relaxed atmosphere and lakeside beauty. With its mix of history, shopping, dining, and lakeside views, Salò is a destination that blends sophistication with authentic Italian charm.

GARDONE RIVIERA - An elegant resort chosen by nobility and the famous over the past century. Palm trees, exotic plants and rare alpine species, magnificent palatial houses and pretty lakeside promenade with cafés, restaurants and shops. There is an excellent choice of places to eat, from trattorias to Michelin star restaurants. Gardone Sopra,

a quaint village above the main resort has winding flower filled alleyways, cafés and fabulous views over the lake. Just offshore lies Isola del Garda, dominated by a neo classical villa, the island can be visited by boat.

Grand Hotel Gardone is closed for 2026 due to refurbishment. We look forward to its reopening in 2027. We can of course help with alternative hotels in this area.

BARDOLINO - An immensely popular resort and not just for the wine! An immaculately presented medieval lakeside town with lots of charm and character. Alluring alleyways in the historic centre teem with shops and restaurants, leading to the main piazza and lakefront. Discover some of the family run wineries or take a visit to the Olive Oil museum close by.

For the more active, visit popular theme parks Gardaland (Italy’s answer to Disneyland!) or CanevaWorld which has a fabulous waterpark.

(d) The provisions of clause (c) will not apply in the event of a major change or cancellation due to any cause beyond the Company’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. The following shall be regarded as causes beyond the Company’s control:

(i) Act of God, explosion, flood, fire or accident.

(ii) War, terrorism or any threat thereof, insurrection, civil disturbance.

(iii) Any government or local authority restrictions or regulations.

(iv) Strikes or other industrial actions (or threat thereof).

(v) Weather conditions, epidemic or pandemic illness.

(e) We will confirm the airline/ferry company identity when you book. If it changes we will advise you. This may be at the airport on the day of departure. A change of airline/ferry company is a minor change to your holiday, as is an alteration of less than 12 hours to the outward/return flight or change of accommodation to the same or higher standard.

10. (a) The Company will consider any reasonable request by you to amend or vary the terms of your travel arrangements but shall not be under any obligation to comply with such a request. Charges will be kept to a minimum, in some cases this may mean amendment or replacement cost of airline tickets. Any request for changes to be made must be in writing from the person who made the booking or your travel agent.

(b) In the event of a reduction by you in the number of persons taking a self contained apartment or hotel room (or hire car) the Company may need to charge for any beds, transfers or seats unused as a result of that reduction. Please ask for a price.

(c) You can transfer your booking to another person, who satisfies all the conditions that apply to this booking, by giving us notice in writing as soon as possible and no later than seven days before departure. Both you and the new traveller are responsible for paying all costs we incur in making the transfer.

11. (a) All reasonable steps to ensure that the holiday is not cancelled or altered as a result of overbooking by hotels will be made by the company.

(b) If the hotel is overbooked (despite the Company’s reasonable efforts) and the Company is aware of such overbooking before your departure the Company will immediately inform you and offer the choice of an alternative holiday of at least comparable standard (if available) or of a full refund of all monies, payable within 10 days of you requesting such refund and compensation will be payable in accordance with Clause 9 (c).

(c) If the Company does not know of the overbooking of the hotel before your departure you shall on arrival at your destination be offered alternative accommodation. If the alternative accommodation is inferior to that originally booked the Company shall also offer reasonable compensation for disturbance.

12. (a) You may cancel the holiday at any time. The Company will charge you the cancellation fees set out below. Please note the exceptions to these charges set out in (d) below. A cancellation by you must be in writing signed by the person who made the booking or sent the email acceptance and sent to the Company’s Office and acknowledged by the company.

(b) The Cancellation charges (expressed as a percentage of the confirmed holiday price) are as follows:

Between l5 and 28 days £15

Between 8 and 14 days

7 days or less £25

Amount of cancellation charge

Deposit/initial payment

Between 83 and 31 days 50%

Between 30 and 15 days 75% 14 days or less 100%

Also see (d) below.

(c) You can cancel your booking without paying cancellation charges if the performance of your package, or the carriage of passengers to your destination, is significantly affected by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at your destination. In such circumstances, we will arrange for your booking to be terminated and for you to receive a full refund. We will observe advice provided by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

(d) Some properties may demand part or full payment even if a holiday is cancelled. Additionally if we have bought aircraft seats in from another tour operator or a public airfare for you once you confirm your intention to travel, we are committed to pay for those seats or hotel rooms in full. If, therefore, you cancel your holiday at any time after booking, you will be/may be liable for the cost of those seats or hotel rooms in part or full. In these circumstances we, and therefore you, are bound by the booking conditions of the other supplier. We will also require an increased deposit, the amount will be advised at the time of booking. We will remind you of any exception at the time of booking your holiday.

13. The Company shall not be obliged to claim compensation for nor to make any allowances or refund for lost or expired or unendorsed tickets, hotel coupons, or vouchers for any service or accommodation booked. But if any allowance or refund is obtained by the Company it will pass the same on to you less any expenses reasonably incurred in obtaining it.

14. We will make your holiday arrangements with every care. We cannot, however be responsible for any damage or loss of your luggage or other property unless caused by any of our staff or suppliers. We cannot be responsible for any fatal or other injury or illness unless caused by the negligence of any of our staff or suppliers whilst on duty. You must inform us without undue delay of any failure to perform or improper performance of the travel services included in this package. If any of the travel services included in your package are not performed in accordance with the contract, or are improperly performed, by us or the travel service suppliers, and this has affected the enjoyment of your travel arrangements, you may

be entitled to an appropriate price reduction or compensation or both. We will not be liable where any failure to perform or improper performance of the travel services is due to: you or another member of your party; or a third party unconnected with the provision of the travel services in the package and is unforeseeable or unavoidable; or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, which means a situation beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

15. All arrangements made by or through the Company in connection with the booking are subject to the contractual terms of the suppliers providing the services that make up your booking. These terms are incorporated into this contract and may limit or extinguish your right to compensation. Further, we are to be regarded as having the benefit of any limit on compensation contained in the relevant international convention. These limit liability for death, injury and loss or damage to baggage. Copies of the contractual terms and international conventions are available on request.

16. If you’re in difficulty whilst on holiday and ask us to help we will provide appropriate assistance, in particular by providing information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance; and helping you to find alternative arrangements and any necessary phone calls/emails. You must pay any costs we incur, if the difficulty is your fault.

17. We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.

18. We do not run or control or have any other involvement in any excursions in our holiday destinations and we have not inspected them in any way.

All excursion providers are entirely independent of us. If you buy any excursion(s) whilst on holiday, the contract will be between you and the excursion provider. The excursion(s) will not form part of the package or of your contract with us. We cannot accept any liability in relation to any excursion(s) and the acceptance of liability for contracted holiday arrangements in our booking conditions will not apply to them.

19. In the unlikely event of any dissatisfaction with the accommodation or any of the services provided during your holiday the matter must be reported immediately to the local representative or agent of the Company AND the hotelier so that action can be taken to remedy the problem. If we have not been given the opportunity to rectify the complaint at the time this may affect your rights. If the problem is not resolved satisfactorily during the holiday you should submit your complaint in writing to the Company at the Company’s Office as soon as possible after your return home, ideally within 28 days, advising the Company of the action taken and the names of the people to whom the matter was reported. A written report must be obtained from our representative where we have one. Except in personal injury or death claims, our liability shall be limited to three times the cost of the holiday paid to the Company. We are a Member of ABTA, membership number V2715. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. We can also offer you ABTA’s scheme for the resolution of disputes which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www.abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www. abta.com. You can also access the Arbitration Service offered by AITO - operated by Dispute Settlement Services (DSS), please ask for details. For injury and illness claims, you can request the ABTA Mediation Procedure and we have the option to agree to mediation.

20. Every effort is made by the Company to give as accurate a description as possible for the hotels, guest houses, villas, apartments and ships in this brochure. All facilities mentioned in the descriptions are generally available for the duration of the brochure but in certain circumstances (particularly in the low and off seasons) their provision may be limited e.g. weather conditions, maintenance, etc. Please note that the provisions of these facilities and any charges imposed for their use are totally outside the control of the Company.

21. These conditions are subject to English Law and the jurisdiction shall rest with the English, Scottish or Northern Ireland courts as appropriate.

Please read this information, only by doing so can both you and we ensure that your Prestige holiday is everything you expect and we wish to provide. We are delighted to offer advice at any time.

Hotel Facilities

Throughout this brochure Prestige Travel refers to facilities offered by hotels such as swimming pools, air-conditioning, entertainment programmes, restaurants, children’s clubs, watersports and other amenities. Obviously the availability of all facilities is under the day to day control of the hotel management. Some larger hotels do on occasions host conferences, of which we will be unaware; this may mean restricted or alternative facilities are offered.

Air-conditioning and pool heating are not usually on year round, and the dates they operate are subject to hotel management control. We will always try to advise you if any facility is not available. We feel sure you will understand that under these circumstances we cannot guarantee that any such facilities will be available during your stay. If you have a particular interest on holiday, such as tennis or if you will need a children’s club or babysitting, we will be very happy to verify that it will be available for you, before you book. Your needs are important – tell us what they are.

Hotel Bedrooms

Most hotel rooms are with twin beds but double beds may be available on request. Single rooms may be smaller. Extra beds or infants’ cots are normally available on request but may tend to ‘cramp’ the bedroom. We respectfully remind you that any request for a particular room number or location is just that, a request. The hotel will do its utmost to satisfy the request, but it cannot be guaranteed. We stress that the allocation of rooms is solely within the hotels’ control. Please note should a specific room be requested and it is a higher room category than that booked and confirmed, the additional cost will have to be paid locally.

Availability of Hotel Bedrooms

Prestige Travel holds an allocation of rooms at most featured hotels and confirmation of your requirement should be immediate. If this is not possible we will email or telephone the hotel, to avoid any delay to our confirmation.

Classification of Hotels

Hotel classifications quoted are those officially approved in each country. Standards do vary and if you have any doubt as to the suitability of an hotel we are happy to offer advice. We do offer a small number of 3-star hotels, as these are often the only/best hotels in a particular area.

Hotel Arrival

If you are travelling on an evening flight your hotel room is of course reserved for the night of your arrival.

Hotel Check-Out

Normally 11.00am but if you prefer a later check-out time we will do our best to assist, although the hotel may make a supplementary charge. Check-in times are normally between 2.00pm - 3.00 pm.

Flights

Prestige Travel prefers wherever possible to use scheduled flights. This we believe reduces the chance of delays or cancellations and you travel as an individual. Some flights can only be altered in an emergency and only at the discretion of the airline, a charge will be imposed. Prepaid seat reservations may in exceptional circumstances have to be changed by the airline when the operating aircraft is altered. In the unlikely event of a flight delay, it is your airline’s responsibility to care for you (once you have checked in) and keep you informed of the extent of the delay, meals and overnight arrangements (if applicable). We are required to collect passenger contact details. In the event of a cancellation, a major delay or if you are denied boarding you may be entitled to compensation and/or a refund from your airline but not an automatic refund of holiday costs from us. For details go to www.caa.co.uk.

Brochure

This brochure is issued on the sole responsibility of the tour operator. It does not commit the airline(s) mentioned therein, or

any airline whose services are used in the course of the holiday(s).

Passports

You must hold a valid passport. If you have a British passport, it must be issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country, and valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave. Please note that a visa may be required if you hold a non-UK passport. Please read Visa Information. It is now a requirement of most airlines to collect passport details from every passenger. If you are 16 or over and haven’t yet got a passport, our recommendation is that you should apply for one at least 6 weeks before your holiday. The UK Passport Service has to confirm your identity before issuing your first passport and will ask you to attend an interview in order to do this.

EU Entry/Exit Scheme (EES)

The EES has been introduced in the EU. It is a new electronic system that will replace the physical stamping of passports. It’s being introduced in phases between October 2025 and April 2026. If it is in place at your destination airport or port, you will have a photo of your face taken, and your fingerprints scanned. Visa Information

If you are a British citizen and hold a valid UK passport you do not generally require a visa to travel to any of our destinations. However, your own particular circumstances (which will not be evident to us) may mean that a visa is required for you or another member of your party. We would strongly urge you to contact the consulate of the country(ies) that you will be visiting to obtain the most up-to-date information before booking with us. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. From late 2026 there will be a new EU visa waiver scheme, called ETIAS. When it comes in, you will need to apply and pay for ETIAS online in order to enter the EU.

Health

At the time of going to press no inoculations were required for any countries in this brochure. Check recommended precautions at: www.travelhealthpro.org.uk The Department of Health website www.nhs.uk/ghic has the latest information about obtaining a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). We will make every reasonable effort to advise you of any health rules but must emphasise that it is your responsibility to ensure any such rules are complied with. Illness or pregnancy may require a “fit to fly” certificate from your GP. Please advise us.

Reductions for Children

Some hotels in this brochure do give excellent reductions or even free accommodation for children. Infants under the age of two years sharing parents’ bedroom will be quoted at time of booking as some hotels may make a hire charge for cots.

Our normal charge includes air travel and a standard cot charge. Meals, if taken, will be charged direct by the hotel. In general children 11 years and under sharing parents’ room in hotels (not apartments) are entitled to a discount. Unfortunately children of whatever age occupying adult accommodation are ineligible for these discounts, except where specifically offered. Car seats for arrival and departure transfers can be arranged and will incur a charge.

Baby-Sitting

Usually notice is needed to book a sitter. Please check their suitability, the cost and the exact service given.

Some hotels have minimum stays during peak season.

We will advise you of these at the time of booking.
