WAYS TO GIVE: CHARITABLE IRA ROLLOVER

Thinking about year-end giving?

Consider a gift from your IRA. Many of our tax-savvy Luminary Circle members and other donors have chosen to support Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation with a gift from their IRA. Here’s how it works and how you could benefit: If you are 70½ years old or older, you can give from your IRA every year directly to a qualified charity such as ours without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is called the IRA charitable rollover.

You can support one or any number of qualified charities in this way, up to $100,000 annually.

You pay no income taxes on the gift. Additionally, any gifts from your IRA can satisfy all or a portion of your required minimum distribution for the year. As with any contribution to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, your gift can be directed to any area of interest to you and no portion will support administrative expenses.
