Continuing Care Retirement Communities The Village of East Harbor features a variety of residential living options, offering cottage homes, apartments, assisted living, memory support services, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing care – all on one campus.

Apartments The Village of East Harbor features apartment homes with attached garages. Barrier-free apartments are also available.*

Cottage Homes The Harbor Pointe Cottage Homes are designed for those residents who want to enjoy a more spacious upscale home.

The cottage homes are within walking distance to our main building. Cottage homes are acquired with a refundable life lease.

Assisted Living Our licensed assisted living provides assistance with personal care, housekeeping transportation, meals socialization and medication supervision/management.

Memory Support Services Haven Hall at The Village of East Harbor offers a secure environment for those with memory related concerns. Personal care plans are available including bathing, grooming, and dressing, along with meals and other activities of daily living.

Transitional Care Unit The Transitional Care Unit staff provides rehabilitation programs that allow the patient the tools to maximize their individual potential.

Respite We understand the demands of caring for a loved one. Whether for a few days or weeks, short-term residents receive the same highquality services while providing a rest for caregivers.

Skilled Nursing Center Our licensed health care center offers private and semi-private rooms with Medicare and Medicaid certified beds. Residents benefit from a professionally trained, caring staff guided by our Medical Director.

Recreational and social activities, on-site barber/beauty shop, and chaplaincy services are included. Hospice care is available.

Rehabilitation Services Designed for seniors recovering from acute medical conditions such as cardiac or stroke, fractures and hip or knee replacements, our rehabilitation specialists provide personalized physical, speech, and occupational therapies. *Provided the resident meets the specified age and income limits.

You will find everything you need at The Village of East Harbor to keep your body active and healthy. Our Wellness program is a holistic approach that encompasses the mind, body and spirit, with certified personal trainers to customize a fitness plan to meet your individual needs.

The fitness center is equipped with state of the art exercise equipment designed especially for seniors. Our chaplain provides worship services as well as emotional and spiritual support. The library offers a book club, computer area, and a quiet place to enrich your mind.

We provide a variety of housing options for active seniors.

Apartments with one and two bedrooms, some with attached garages, come furnished with a full appliance package including a washer and dryer. We take care of all of the routine maintenance chores, so you can spend your time relaxing with friends and doing the things you love. And you’re sure to enjoy our bistro dining experience featuring food prepared from scratch from all natural ingredients.

Our new Harbor Pointe Cottage Homes are featured for those residents who want to enjoy a more upscale environment. Spacious 1600 sq ft floor plans feature 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The cottage homes are within walking distance to our main building and all it has to offer.

Assistance.

Sometimes it’s important to know someone is there ‘just in case.’ When that time comes, The Village of East Harbor is here for you. The Village of East Harbor offers assistance to seniors needing help with daily activities.

Our dedicated team creates an individualized program of support for each resident. The result is a plan that is uniquely yours and provides for the precise services you need. Our services may include the following: • Activities and planned outings • Housekeeping • Emergency Response System • Laundry services • Medication management • Assistance with personal care (dressing, bathing, etc.)

• 24 hour nursing support on staff • Transportation • Onsite Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation • Priority access to skilled nursing • Three chef-prepared meals

The Village of East Harbor, a mission of Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM), is governed by a community-based, volunteer Board of Trustees. PVM is a faith-based, non-profit, multi-site system that has served seniors of all faiths since 1945.

The Village of East Harbor’s Haven Hall memory care program provides a home-like environment for people with memory loss who require a more specialized, secure environment.

Respite We provide a short term residence for your loved one while you are on vacation, attending a family function, traveling for business or have an unexpected emergency. Your loved one can stay in assisted living or Alzheimer’s/ Memory Care for a few days or a few weeks, and will receive the same high-quality services that our residents enjoy.

Skilled Nursing Our compassionate, exceptional staff is highly trained to meet the specialized needs of seniors who may be experiencing the effects of aging such as frailty, lack of mobility, loss of skills and medical monitoring. We offer group and individual activities to promote socialization, prevent isolation and enhance the overall quality of life. Our social worker and chaplain are available for residents and their families.

Rehabilitation/Transitional Care Unit Individuals recovering from surgery, cardiac condition or stroke, hip or knee replacement, or a fracture will find The Village of East Harbor is the perfect stepping stone to transition from hospital to home. Our team of rehabilitation and skilled nursing professionals personalize your care plan, catering to your unique needs. Our rehabilitation specialists provide the personalized physical, speech, and occupational therapies as well as other services needed to maximize performance and to achieve optimal recovery.

Since 1945, PVM has grown from a single village into a network of 25 senior living communities serving more than 4,300 seniors.
