Director of nursing feels at home at Topeka Presbyterian Manor Jodi Broxterman’s decision to join the staff of Topeka Presbyterian Manor came down to a feeling. “Presbyterian Manor just felt homey when I came here for my interview,” said Jodi, who serves as the health care director of nursing. She joined the staff last May. Jodi has spent most of her 23-year career in long-term care. She was a CNA in high school before becoming a CMA. She earned LPN status at the age of 24, but did not pursue her RN until she was in her early forties. Despite the challenge of balancing work, family and classes, she was inspired to return to school because she “wanted to do more” and thought she might enjoy an administrative role. Topeka Presbyterian Manor’s Art is Ageless® call for entries underway Topeka Presbyterian Manor has issued a call for entries for the Art is Ageless® juried exhibit to be held April 6 – 9, 2020. Entries of artistic works will be accepted from any area artist who is 65 years of age or older to exhibit and/or compete for an opportunity to be featured in the 40th anniversary Art is Ageless calendar in 2021. Artists may choose to enter the exhibit only. For the competition, works are to have been completed in the past five years (since January 2015). There are nine categories, as well as designations of amateur or professional. Works to be entered for judging need to be at AIA - continued on page 2
