Major renovation project begins at Topeka Presbyterian Manor

On Jan. 16, Topeka Presbyterian Manor and Harbin Construction kicked off a $1.6 million renovation project. Work on the 17-acre campus will include a redesign and remodel of the main entrance, common areas, dining rooms and the library. Construction will create separate dining and event spaces for residents in independent and assisted living. This change will enable staff to tailor dining services and programs to the needs of each group. “Renovations to the campus will create an opportunity to provide enhanced programming to residents,” said Heather Pilkinton, executive director. Presbyterian Manor Art is Ageless® exhibit and reception features senior artists Topeka Presbyterian Manor will celebrate local artists April 6 – 9, as the community hosts its annual Art is Ageless® exhibit and observes the 40th anniversary of the Art is Ageless program. The program offers senior artists the opportunity to share and display their artwork and reaffirms the agelessness of human creativity. “It’s inspiring to see the beautiful pieces these seniors have created,” said Danica Loftin, sales and marketing director for the health care center. “The joy it brings to them and others is wonderful, AIA - continued on page 3
