Bride and groom make pre-wedding visit to relatives at Newton Presbyterian Manor
Bravo of the Month:
Jessica Carr Jessica Carr, housekeeper in Haury Place, is recognized for November’s Bravo.
Ashley Akers and her fiancé Noah Schmidt stopped by the Presbyterian Manor courtyard in October for a safe visit with her grandparents before their wedding ceremony.
LPN Clarissa Jackson writes, “Jessica was successful in leading a resident into his own room when he was busy wandering into neighboring rooms instead. She did an awesome job with the resident, and had him laughing and engaged while following her. We, the floor staff, are very thankful to have such an observant and helpful member of the team!”
“She was beautiful,” said Marian about seeing her granddaughter in her wedding dress. “It was a surprise, and it was just great to be a part of their wedding day.”
Thank you, Jessica, for using your gifts to serve both the residents and your coworkers so well. ◆
Although the pandemic has canceled and postponed special occasions around the world since March, it didn’t stop residents Eldon and Marian Akers from getting to see their granddaughter on her special day.
