Mike Rajewski, executive director of the Presbyterian Manor, had an idea from when he was executive director at Sterling Presbyterian Manor in Sterling. Last year they had Miss Kansas speak at their annual donor volunteer banquet, and Mike was quite impressed with the results. When Manor of the Plains first started planning our banquet, Mike suggested that we invite Miss Kansas to be our entertainment. To say the least, the management was a little nervous about the whole idea. For years we had bought gifts, had a barbeque and raffled off the prizes, which seemed to go over well. -Miss Kansas, continued on page 2
