Super heroes among us Our staff of super heroes!

By Ginger Nance, Executive Director

The Fort Scott Presbyterian Village earned a zero-deficiency survey from the Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services following our annual inspection on June 9. This is our seventh consecutive survey to earn such a rare accomplishment, and we feel like super heroes, here to protect and serve! It’s all due to our dedicated staff. Every employee impacts the outcome of the survey since regulations affect every job position at Presbyterian Village.

These regulations are designed to ensure a standard of care is met for all assisted living and other health care communities in Kansas. By meeting this standard, senior living communities are able to renew their licenses and continue to provide care. For Presbyterian Village, it’s not about just meeting a minimum standard. It’s about setting higher standards than most by creating a Christian culture and living that culture on a daily basis. We are so proud of our staff.

They are super heroes and they inspire me every day. They go above and beyond in their caring approach, and it’s their second nature to do so. We celebrated our success together with a fun, playful day among residents and friends. The Presbyterian Manors leadership team located in Wichita share in the pride of our staff. They happily awarded each employee with a Super Hero shirt to wear with honor.
