TELL US ABOUT
Engaging at Every Age We will be celebrating Older American’s Month and National Nursing Home Week in an upcoming issue of Community Matters. The Older Americans Month theme is “Engage at Every Age.” If you have ways that you are intentionally staying engaged in activities you’ve always loved, using technology or if you just want to tell the world what you love about living in your senior living community, we want to share the story. Contact Ginger Nance and your story could be featured in an upcoming edition of Community Matters.

Celebrating 71 Years
Congratulations to Kale and Thorene Roberts, who in February celebrated 71 years of marriage! They met in Mount Hope, Kan., and went on a date once in high school. Kale is a veteran and from a family of nine siblings. Thorene is from a family of four siblings. After Kale returned from the military, they married on Feb 1, 1947. Kale just celebrated his birthday on Jan. 19, making him 91 years young. Thorene’s birthday was Feb. 29. She’s a leap year baby and was 90 this year. They have two boys, three grandchildren and four-great grandchildren, and have enjoyed many hobbies over the years. They moved to the Village in 2014 and love their large patio apartment and living close to their family in Fort Scott. They’re so happy they chose the Presbyterian Village as their home.
