New chef joins dining team Now that Chef Johny Patwary is the dining services director, the kitchen was in need of a new chef. Loren Minnis recently joined the team as the new chef. He loves to see people enjoy food, particularly the home-cooked food he likes to prepare. Seeing the residents enjoy his food is one of his favorite things about the job. He enjoys making people happy and making the experience of preparing food fun for his coworkers. Loren has more than 35 years of experience as a chef and cook. He was living and working in Pratt and when he was presented with the opportunity to move to Emporia to work here. CHEF, continued on page 2
