Banquet honors volunteers
About 20 residents and community members attended a banquet in April honoring volunteers at Emporia Presbyterian Manor. Dining services catered the Renaissance-themed affair with turkey legs and the works. Our valuable volunteers received gifts of appreciation from Sweet Granada Chocolates. Executive Director Susan Siepelmeier remarked on the generosity of those who help out around Presbyterian Manor, both residents and members of the Emporia community. “Volunteers give the best gift — the gift of time,” Siepelmeier said.
