Attend our luminary lighting ceremony Join us as we host a special lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, to memorialize those who have passed and honor those who are still living. In addition to the lighting of the community’s luminaries, trees and outdoor lights, those in attendance will be treated to cookies, hot cocoa and the chance to reminisce about those they have honored. Proceeds from the luminaries go to PMMA’s Good Samaritan program, which assists residents who, by no fault of their own, have outlived their financial resources. Thank you to our donors and everyone who supported this worthy cause, and in return, honored a loved one. We are grateful to the Emporia Presbyterian Manor mission committee members who helped make this happen: Don Bailey, Ann Doudican, Kathryn Martin, Jim Pickert, John Sanderson, Miles Shirk, Susan Siepelmeier, Crystal Stock, Rev. Phyllis Stutzman, Robert N. Symmonds and George Walters. A special thank you to staff members on our employee mission committee for their help: Leigh Ayers, Lesley Gilger and Jen Moran.
