Renovation nearing an exciting finish By Christopher Phelps

Renovation is getting close to being completed and it has been an exciting journey. I want to thank all of our residents and families for their patience. This project couldn’t have been done without the support of everyone. I have had a lot of questions about whether we will have an open house when the apartments are ready. The answer to that question is yes pending COVID/CDC guidelines at the time they are completed. There will certainly be private tours. I think it is time to have a little fun. For my readers who are current residents, you currently receive a referral credit when a new resident moves in because you referred them. Let’s “sweeten” the pot: I will throw in a dinner and dessert gift card ($50) on top of the referral credit. The rules are simple - the new resident has to be new to us as of this publication, and at the time of contact they must mention your name. The new resident must move in to receive the credit.

The month of May brings memories of the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2022 will occur on Monday, May 30.

Many of our resident friends are sharing their thoughts and experiences of World War II since the war against Ukraine started. As a chaplain and pastor when I counsel people I hear a lot of anxiety and fear. Many wonder if there will be a World War III. While we are getting ready to start a new normal after COVID, we are plunged into a different situation. How can we cope with all this? As a Christian believer, my faith encourages me to trust in the risen Christ and remember His word: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35, 38-39, NKJV).
