Shades of serenity Emporia Presbyterian Manor recently completed renovations to its memory care neighborhood which consisted of updates to its shared living space, spa, activity areas and kitchen. The renovations, which had been a main topic of discussion among residents for the past several months, have resulted in a much brighter, airier atmosphere, intended to put everyone at ease. “It transformed the overall aesthetics for a more calming and comfortable atmosphere for the needs of residents with cognition impairment,” said Executive Director Susan Siepelmeier. Next up on the schedule for updates - other areas of the health center. The plan is to have all of the long-term care community updated by January 2023. u

I can’t help but share this beautiful song with you as my thoughts are wrapped around 4th of Dinah Dutta July as I write my love note to all of you: The patriotic song, “America the Beautiful.” In spite of all the chaos, hatred, fear, and much more, I want to sing this song with all my heart.
