Burton named executive director at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor Morgan J. Burton has been appointed as the new executive director of Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. Burton previously served as administrator at a nursing home in Oberlin, Kan. “Empathy, respect, compassion and dignity are the values that I carry to effectively encourage others to foster health and wellbeing for those we serve,” Morgan said. In Oberlin, she oversaw daily operations for a 45 bed skilled nursing facility, with 75 employees and seven direct reports.

Morgan began her career in September 2014 at a small care home caring for 5-7 residents. She planned activities, prepared meals, cleaned, cooked and assisted residents with activities of daily living. In 2017, she began her Administrator in Training internship with Good Samaritan Society – Valley Vista in Wamego, Kan. She then became the administrator for the Good Samaritan Society in Oberlin, Kan. “In Morgan’s nearly six years in the senior living industry, she has garnered a broad scope of experience to bring to Clay Center Presbyterian Manor,” said Bill Taylor, chief operating officer, PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid America). “We look forward to seeing her leadership and ideas in action at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor.” Morgan graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Services and a secondary major in Gerontology with an emphasis in Long-Term Care Administration. u Clay Center Presbyterian Manor | A PMMA COMMUNITY
