AUGUST 2022

Spreading our wings Pat was so happy to win some prizes and receive a balloon bear.

Celebrating Summer There’s no better way to recognize the changing of the seasons than with a big First Day of Summer Carnival!

Joyce and the butterflies

This summer, residents and staff at The Glen embarked on an exciting project. We hatched three butterflies from cocoons and watched their metamorphosis. The cocoons transformed from caterpillar, to chrysalis, and eventually emerged as adult butterflies! The residents had so much fun Butterfly hatching watching the changes over time, and seeing them spread their wings before releasing them into the wild. Butterflies – continued on page 2

Our Memory Care residents had a great time marking the summer season. Dale, the balloon artist, made a number of masterpieces for everyone to enjoy. The celebration also featured games, prizes, and snacks - including delicious cotton candy. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate the summer months, and for enjoying our Summer Carnival. u
