Employee Spotlight: Olena
Garrett
This month our employee spotlight is on Olena Garrett, one of our fabulous housekeeping services assistants.
COVID-19 updates continue
Lena, as she prefers to be called, joined our team in the heat of COVID, but with her calm “just keep working and doing things to make Clay Center Olena “Lena” Garrett makes her job look easy, even in the middle of a pandemic. Presbyterian Manor a better place” mentality and work ethic, you would have never known we were in the midst of a global pandemic.
Get the latest updates on visitation, ongoing safety measures and PMMA’s response to COVID-19 on your community website. Visitation status is updated weekly on Mondays and as needed as our COVID status changes.
Send an Art is Ageless® e-card for Father’s Day using the link on the COVID-19 Updates page, ClayCenterPresbyterianManor. org/covid-19.
Lena is originally from Washington state and has moved around quite a bit with her active-duty military husband, her son, and their cats. Lena said that her favorite place they have lived has been Alaska, where they spent seven years. She said the Kansas winters don’t bother her a bit after experiencing temperatures of 30-40 degrees below zero in Alaska. Lena said her favorite part of working for Clay Center Presbyterian Manor is the residents. She said she feels extremely privileged to work in their home and meet any needs they may have. Thank you, Lena, for your dedication to our residents and for being an amazing team member. We are better because you are here. u
