The Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor leadership team received their third Emerald Award from PMMA at a banquet November 13.
Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor honored for achievements
Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor was recognized with an Emerald Award Level One from PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America) for reaching goals in fiscal year 2019, July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 6:20-23 New International Version (NIV) Key ideas: • Slaves of sin • Slaves of God • Satisfactions of salvation Action step:
The recognition came through PMMA’s Emerald Awards Program, designed to encourage its 16 locations and two hospices to achieve high levels of resident and employee satisfaction, meet financial goals, build philanthropic support for the organization’s mission and meet marketing goals. There are 11 areas measured for the Emerald Awards.
Examine your recent decision about money, free time and things that are urgent or essential to you; are you motivated to serve God or yourself?
To receive an emerald, a community has to meet its goals in all 11 areas. This is the third time in four years Arkansas City achieved an Emerald Award.
Today, I want very much, Lord, to experience the holy and obedient way of Christ that can endure beyond the corrosions of human time. ◆
