New family meetings begin this month Beginning in August, we will host monthly meetings for The Glen families.These meetings will be held so we can keep you informed of things happening on our campus.

Lily Landy,The Glen’s administrator, will lead the meetings. Each month, there will be a different department manager attending as well.

The first meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m.Wednesday, Aug. 23, in the assisted living dining room.

Art is Ageless® masterpiece winners One winning artist in Aberdeen Heights’ annual Art is Ageless® juried competition will be featured in the 2018 Art is Ageless Calendar produced

by Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America.

“Misty Morning,” a painting by Jean von Stamwitz, will appear in the calendar when it is released this fall.

Works by local winners are automatically entered into a masterpiece level competition with winning art from 16 other PMMA communities. The winners are featured in the Art is Ageless calendar and notecards.

Art is Ageless encourages Aberdeen Heights residents and area seniors to express their creativity through its annual competition, as well as art classes, musical and dramatic events, educational opportunities and current events discussions.

Started in 1980, Art is Ageless is an extension of PMMA’s wellness programs, which focus on mental, physical, social and spiritual health.

Residents and friends of the Art is Ageless program are proving that art, in any form, is an ageless ambition.

Patriotic parade Residents enjoyed parading around the front circle and singing patriotic music with members of our Independent Living Choir on the Fourth of July.
