ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY
San Clemente High School follows two grading policies for athletic eligibility:
1. The Capistrano Unified School District's policy states that the student-athlete must have a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average at the end of each semester.
2. The California Interscholastic Federation states that the student-athlete must pass at least four classes at the end of each grading period.
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE
The athletic clearance process is completed online through www.athleticclearance.com and will include the following:
1. Insurance:All student-athletes must show proof of insurance coverage to be eligible to compete.
2. Physical Examination:All student-athletes are required to get a physical examination; results are accepted for a period of one year.
3. Code of Honor:All student-athletes (and parent) are required to sign a District "Athletic Code of Honor" form for standards of behavior.
4. Informed Consents:All student-athletes (and parent) are required to sign and acknowledge informed consents including but not limited to sports injury risks associated with participation in SCHSAthletics.
