RITON BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS 2022-23 NOVEMBER 15th (Tue) & November 16th (Wed)
Dear Parents: The upcoming Boys Volleyball Tryouts for the 2022-23 season will be taking place in the SCHS Main Gym on Tuesday, and Wednesday November 15th & 16th from 4pm-6pm. All boys who did not participate on any of last year’s teams will be asked to tryout. All boys who are interested in trying out must have their mandatory athletic clearance forms completed online https://www.sanclementeathletics.com/athletic-clearance prior to tryouts. Potential team members will be evaluated on their volleyball skills, athleticism, and attitude/coachability, and will be evaluated on a 5 point scale by the SCHS Boys Volleyball Coaching Staff during the course of the tryouts. Boys need to be dressed in SCHS PE or SCHS athletic gear; no “Club” volleyball gear will be permitted for the tryouts! In addition, each student-athlete must be academically eligible (2.0 or higher GPA) to participate at the start of the spring semester. Returning lettermen will be required to tryout during the time mentioned, and they must have completed the physical forms and have academic clearance. Due to many club players traveling after tryouts and the Thanksgiving holiday, we will hold the mandatory parent meeting after Thanksgiving. Players and parents will be notified of the team selections, and a mandatory parent meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 29th, at 6:30pm site TBD.
