SAN CLEMENTE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ GOLF Tryout Procedures 1. All JV players must play a minimum of two (2) nine hole tryout rounds on the available dates. (20 Max) a. Monday 10/28 @ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 b. Tuesday 10/29 @ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 c. Thursday 10/31 @ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 d. Monday 11/4 @ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 e. Tuesday 11/5@ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 f. Thursday 11/7 @ SC Muni Tee Time 2:00 2. All Varsity players must players must play a minimum of three (3) nine hole tryout rounds on the available dates. Each player must play Talega and Bella Collina one time each during the three tryouts. (20 Max) a. Monday 9/30 @ Bella Collina Tee Time 2:45 b. Monday 10/7 @ Bella Collina Tee Time 2:45 c. Monday 10/14 @ Bella Collina Tee Time 2:45 d. Tuesday 10/15 @ Talega Tee Time 3:00 e. Monday 10/21 @ Bella Collina Tee Time 2:45 f. Tuesday 10/22 @ Talega Tee Time 3:00 g. Monday 10/28 @ Bella Collina Tee Time 2:45 h. Thursday 10/31 @ Talega Tee Time 3:00 3. All players must submit 3 nine hole rounds to Coach Parker by 12/10. Sign w/phone # 4. Players MUST sign up for a tryout in advance and are responsible for being at the golf course at the proper time on the proper date. DO NOT just show up to tryout. A “no show” w/o prior notice on a date a player has signed up for will be considered an Unexcused Absence. (See Golf Guidelines) 5. Proper Golf attire is to be worn at all SCHS Golf tryouts, practices and matches. (See Golf Guidelines) 6. OUR TEAMS: VARSITY- consists of 7-10 players based on tryout scores. Plays a full schedule of tournaments, non-league contests & Coast View Conference contests. JV- consists of 7 - 10 players based on tryout scores. Plays a full schedule of tournaments, nonleague and Coast View Conference contests. JV2– consists of 7 - 10 players based on tryout scores. This team plays a modified schedule of 4-6 contests during the season. 7. No player may participate in any SCHS Golf workout, practice or tryout w/o an Athletic Clearance on file in the Athletic Directors office by September 30 1, 2019.
