Canadian Water Network project, “Building Capacity for Success: Towards Watershed Governance in British Columbia and Beyond,” Henning Bjornlund is an adviser on this project and will participate in core activities. The project is led by Oliver Brandes from the Police Institute at the University of Victoria. The project is a follow up from CWN project 'Governance for Watershed-Based Source Water Protection in Canada: A National Assessment,' 2008-2012, 2013.

Canadian Water Network project, “Using Knowledge Co-Production to Improve Collaborative Approaches to Governance for Water,” Henning Bjornlund is one of eight core researchers from across Canada, UK and the US on this project lead by Professor Rob de Loe University of Waterloo. The project is a follow up from CWN project 'Governance for Watershed-Based Source Water Protection in Canada: A National Assessment,' 2008-2012, 2013.

SSHRC Expert partnership grant, “Water Economics, Policy and Governance Network,” Network of 21 water experts within the social sciences from across Canada. Jointly with Dr. Wei Xu, Henning Bjornlund has two projects funded under this grant for the first three years. In addition their parts have cash contributions from Alberta Innovates: Energy and Environment Solutions as well as Alberta Environment, 2012-2018, C$2,300,000.

Project title, “Food Security Assessment System,” Granted cash and in-kind support in the form of staff time and data. Project includes seven principal investigators from University of Lethbridge, five are physical geographers with expertise in the areas of remote sensing and GIS.
