HOW WE INVEST

Our investment goal is to increase charitable assets while preserving your capital.

Investments are selected to support your fund’s grant-making pattern. Because we are a foundation, not an investment firm, our staff is guided by seasoned, dedicated investment professionals who volunteer countless hours as members of our investment committee.

The committee decides on asset allocation, selects asset managers and monitors the performance of the asset managers. You can donate cash, stocks or bonds. A minimum account value of $50,000 must be achieved prior to distributions and total fees are typically 2% or less. If account value falls below the minimum, there will be a one-year grace period to replenish the fund. Otherwise, it becomes unrestricted funds for issues in your city.
