These unique leaves were initially kept in the SARASWATHY MAHAL LIBRARY of Tanjore city (TANJAVUR) of Tamil Nadu state in South India. Later, during the British rule, the British sold these leaves to the locals who were very, very much interested in getting them were people belonging to a particular to a particular sect called the "VALLUAR" community of South India who specicalized in astrology - bought most of these leaves.
