What We Do Reality Capture

Accuracy and optimization to mitigate risks Precis offers in-house reality capture capabilities that enable our project teams to quickly produce high-definition scans and models for use in the field.

Reality capture utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as 3D laser scanners and photogrammetry to gather data on existing conditions for design, construction, and operations purposes. By quickly and accurately capturing field conditions, these tools identify discrepancies between the actual state of a site and the design plans. The resulting model can be shared with the design team through cloud-based platforms such as BIM 360, helping to optimize schedules, reduce change orders, enhance predictability on-site, mitigate risks, and improve quality assurance.

Precis has deep experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) processes and equipment for aseptic and oral solid dosage (OSD) manufacturing and for the reactors, fermenters, and upstream/downstream processing for biologics.

We’re also well-versed in design for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) and the associated cell and gene therapy and aseptic process facilities typically required. Whether we are designing for large-scale manufacturing or patientspecific production, our team leads by listening to our clients’ specific needs.

We work with clients through all phases of GMP facility development and design, often beginning with due diligence to test-fit programs and determine viability of a potential site. Members of our team maintain extensive process hazard and safety experience and training to ensure safety within systems. We design for potent compounds, Occupational Exposure Band (OEB) categories 4 and 5, solvents, flammables, and Biosafety Containment Levels BSL-2 and 3. Driven by our engineering expertise, our designs for cleanrooms incorporate required ISO classifications and stringent EU standards. We understand the processes occurring in clean spaces and develop custom systems and workflow approaches that best meet our clients’ specific needs. Our HVAC system designs control the nuance of pressurization, filtration, air changes, and airflow patterns required to maintain ideal GMP room criteria. We consider airlocks and anterooms for safe access and transitions. Finishes and materials are selected for cleanability durability, and long-term service.

As more clients explore modularity for flexibility, scalability, and ease of maintenance, Precis has built strong relationships with most major structural cleanroom vendors. Our structural engineers ensure capacity and viability of modular systems and integration into new or existing construction, or they can custom design a stick-built facility to a client's exacting parameters.
