Monet and the Seine: Impressions of a River examines Claude Monet’s abiding fascination with the Seine by tracing his life along the iconic French waterway, both chronologically and geographically. Monet (1840–1926) used the river from an early point in his career to explore many of the artistic concerns that define his oeuvre, such as the transformative effects of light and atmosphere. This beautiful exhibition brings together more than 50 paintings on loan from locations around the world. .

On Monday, December the 5th the beautiful Ballroom in the Downtown Aquarium was the site of the HCA Annual Holiday Party and Toy Drive for Star of Hope. Over 90 toys for the children of Star of Hope were collected by the 70 plus guests. Host and HCA Board Member Marilyn De Simone put on a first class event. Guests were greeted by the smooth sounds of Jazz Legend Harry Sheppard and enjoyed delicious servings from the 4 food stations. Marilyn, Ray and the entire Downtown Aquarium Staff did a fantastic job and the HCA is very grateful for your continued support.
