NOW ON MONDAYS! Kindergarteners! Now is your chance to experience a fun afterschool club for a couple of hours after school! Play games, make crafts and projects, work together and get your energy out!

KPLAY is also a great way for parents to bridge the gap until their sibling’s pick-up, or for parents to gain a couple of more hours to get things done. Our experienced staff will pick children up from class and walk them to Sandpiper Community Center. Come Play!

Sandpiper Youth Club

Grades 1 - 5 with Sandpiper Recreation Staff, Director: Telisha Brent If you want to be a part of a fun after school club, then the SYC is for YOU! We will play games, sports, do crafts, learn life skills, watch movies, have special visitors, and more! Children will also have homework time during the program. Sandpiper Youth Club Staff are courteous, professional and most important...fun! Come check us out!

MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT 120, so sign up early! (Due to the growth of this program and the number of children, the discipline policy will be closely monitored for your child’s safety and enjoyment). Sandpiper Elementary Students have first priority. We will accommodate all Sandpiper School minimum days. Payment Plans are available, strict rules apply. Priority registration is given to continuing students.

Kids nights for kids Grades K-5 are an awesome way for kids to have fun with their friends on a Friday night and for YOU to get a break from making dinner or even, dare we say, GO OUT! Check out the Fall Activity Guide for more details on each event. SYC kids can stay through from 5:30pm on. Don’t worry about dinner, pizza and drinks are included.

children’s drawing Age 6-12 with Young Rembrandts Staff Make this a memorable winter by signing up your elementary child in a Young Rembrandts drawing class. Your child will learn basic design and composition as they draw a boot still life and a detailed armadillo.

More refined and technical drawing techniques will be explored as our students draw Henry Ford’s historical Model-T automobile. Besides strengthening your child’s drawing and coloring skills, he or she will learn art history as we present lessons featuring master artists Leonardo Da Vinci and Franz Marc. Lab Fee: $10 payable to instructor at 1st class.

Introduction to 3D animation with Freshi Media Age 7-12 Share your imagination, create unique characters and have fun with introduction to 3D animation!Students are introduced to fundamental 3D animation. In this class, participants will learn skills that help computer drawing, character movement, frame layering and dialogue matching.

Students will work in small groups on animation technique and will complete a short animated film.

We’ll learn all about weather as we explore meteorology and clouds. Take a voyage to the center of the earth as we investigate how our planet formed and the forces that keep changing things. Discover how science is used to solve crimes, and take home your own I.D. kit. Learn all about pulleys, levers and catapults in Mad Science Machines and make your own Rocket Racer. Discover first-hand how movie special effects are created. Turn your kitchen into a virtual lab as you learn about the chemical reactions that take place there. Explore the science behind your favorite toys, as well as some that you may not have played with, but your parents probably did. You won’t want to miss a minute of this exciting series!

Your child will learn about exaggeration and how to draw facial expressions in our lessons entitled “Cold Faces” and “Dad Expressions.” Our students will learn how to create cartoon characters by personifying cuddly polar bears in our “Cold Weather Friends” lesson.
