Things to know
Camp Registration
Pre-registration is required for all Camps!
• In-camp registrations will not be accepted.
• Register early! Many camps fill before their start dates.
• Camps may be cancelled if there is low enrollment.
• Mail In & Fax In receipts will be mailed. We will not call you to confirm your registration.
Waiting Lists
• Waiting lists will be established if a program is full.
• If a space becomes available we will contact you.
• You will not be charged for the camp unless you are enrolled.
• If you wrote a check for several classes and you are put on the wait list, the remaining balance of your check will be automatically credited to your account for future use in our programs. If you would like a refund, please contact us at 650.780.7311.
Refund & Credit Policy
Always
CANCELLATIONS BY DEPARTMENT: If a camp is cancelled by the department, a full refund will be issued.
TRANSFERS: Children can be transferred into a different camp provided there is space available prior to the start date, without penalty.
NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER THE CAMP BEGINS. However, your satisfaction matters most to us and refunds or credits will be considered. Participants who are dissatisfied with a program for any reason must fill out a refund request form prior to receiving a credit so we can make the camp better in the future. Credits and refunds will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the program supervisor. Form can be found here: www.RedwoodCity.org/Registration
MATERIALS FEES are non-refundable once camp begins, or otherwise listed in the description.
UP UNTIL FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2025
CANCELLATIONS: ALL CAMPS (in-person & virtual) cancelled by May 23 at 6:00pm will receive a refund less a $10 cancellation fee per activity, per child
AFTER FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2025
CANCELLATIONS: Up until 2 weeks before the start date of each camp, you may cancel and receive a refund:
IN-PERSON less $50 per camp, per child / VIRTUAL less $10 per camp, per child. Materials fees may also be withheld if they are listed as nonrefundable by a specific date in the camp description.
Cancellations made within the two week window will receive a department credit (less $10/$50 per camp) which may be applied to any applicable Recreation Department activity. Credits may be used by any member of the family.
Payment Plans
PLAY-AWAY PLAN!
All camps have the option of a payment plan. These camps will be marked with a pink piggy bank. You can select the payment plan option during the check out process. Camps must be paid in full prior to the start date. Payments will be automatically withdrawn using your credit card, debit card, or checking account. Please read the terms carefully.
Financial Assistance
If you would like to apply for financial assistance please email us at recreation@ redwoodcity.org or call 650.780.7311. Application Deadline is May 16, 2025
Availability is limited and is allocated by need on a first come, first served basis. All supporting documents and applications must be submitted for applications to be processed. Once approved, applicants will have 5 business days to pay a non-refundable 25% deposit. All payments must be paid in full by June 13, 2025. Camps that are not paid in full will be cancelled, and deposit forfeited.
Emergency Form Management- ePACT
We know your time is valuable, which is why we wanted to find a better solution for managing those pesky emergency forms that we make you fill out each week. We are excited to announce that we are now using a program called ePACT- a one stop shop for emergency forms!
By using ePact, we can ensure that your information is accurate, legible, and highly secure- like banking standards secure. The best part? It's web-based, so no more paper forms, and even better, you only need to update it when your information changes! That's one form for multiple programs!
