Director's Message Greetings, Redwood City! Earlier this summer, many of us watched something special unfold. As teams advanced through the FIFA World Cup, parks, restaurants, living rooms, and public gathering spaces filled with people wearing their favorite team's colors, waving flags, and celebrating a sport that united communities around the world. Whether you were cheering for Mexico, the United States, another team, or simply enjoying the excitement, it was a powerful reminder of what it means to belong. Belonging is about more than sharing the same interests or cheering for the same team. It is the feeling of being welcomed, connected, and part of something bigger than ourselves. Creating those spaces is exactly what Parks, Recreation and Community Services strives to do every day through our parks, programs, events, and community spaces. We are also very proud to have hosted the ribbon cutting and opening of our brand new 45,000 square foot Veterans Memorial Building/ Senior Center, which has already welcomed more than 900 members. Watching new friendships form, familiar faces reconnect, and people discover a place where they feel at home is exactly what belonging looks like. To our incredible PRCS team, thank you. Your work, often behind the scenes, creates opportunities for our community to connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories. Your dedication is what makes these experiences possible, and I am truly grateful for the impact you make every day. And to our amazing community, thank you for choosing to spend your time with us. We look forward to continuing to create memorable experiences that bring people together and foster a sense of belonging throughout the fall season and beyond. With appreciation, Tiarra Warner Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Services

MINI-GROUP PIANO CLASSES
YOUTH & TEEN
AGE 6-9 with Svetlana Tuchinsky, B.M., MA Ed, 15+ years experience. Learning to play the piano is FUN! Piano lessons should be enjoyable and productive, not dull and isolating. By putting students into small groups in the beginning, we give them a chance to share the learning experience with others. This creates a built-in support team of friends and encourages children to practice. Activities include music-oriented games, EZ music theory, and ear-training. Classes are progressive: Piano 1, the beginner's class is followed by Piano 2, etc. Each student has access to a piano or keyboard in class; however, a piano or keyboard is needed to practice at home. FALL 2026 ACTIVITY GUIDE
ADULTS
Ever wonder how bakeries get that gorgeous, dimply, olive-oil-drenched focaccia?! Spoiler: it's WAY easier (and more fun) than you think! I'll teach you the stretch-and-fold magic that gives focaccia its signature airy, pillowy crumb, plus all my favorite dimpling and topping tricks to make your loaf as beautiful as it is delicious. We're getting our hands doughy with toppings like rosemary and flaky salt, cherry tomatoes and garlic, and caramelized onion. No experience needed, just a love of really good bread (and a willingness to get a little flour on your shirt).
EASY, MAKE-AHEAD HOLIDAY BRUNCH
BUCHE DE NOEL/CLASSIC YULE LOG
The Buche de Noel, or Yule Log, makes any holiday table instantly festive and is an elegant finish to your holiday meal! I'll break down the components of a classic Yule Log: chocolate sponge, chocolate ganache, chocolate whipped cream, and meringue mushrooms. Then you'll assemble and decorate your own mini Yule Log to take home! CODE

Peacebank Yoga Instructor www.peacebankyoga.com Yin Yoga is a gentle practice designed to target the deep connective tissues, especially in and around the joints, through passive poses. Poses are performed while seated or lying down, using position, gravity, and body weight to apply gentle pressure so you can comfortably surrender into each shape for three to five minutes. This calm, quiet practice typically begins with meditation and ends with an extended Savasana for deep relaxation. Not recommended for those who are pregnant or hypermobile.
