Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is a ministry of Catalina Foothills Church
Consistent with the truth that God’s grace and His love through Jesus Christ extend without partiality to all mankind, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy does not discriminate based on race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs
Disclaimer: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy makes every effort to ensure all names and listings are accurate and complete. If a name has been omitted, misspelled, or listed incorrectly, please accept our sincerest apologies.
As we approach 1000 students across our three campuses, the mission of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy continues to grow. The importance of a classical Christian school that partners with parents to lead students to become like Christ cannot be overestimated We are preparing students to share His Light in a dark world, and the truth of Jesus Christ remains the foundation of everything we do at PRCA We do not attempt to “fit Jesus into” an educational system He is our foundation, He is our curriculum, and He is the lens for how we view ourselves and others.
American historian Mark Noll rightly identifies Jesus as the guiding force of learning:
“The light of Christ illuminates the laboratory, his speech is the fount of communication, he makes possible the study of humans in all their interactions, he is the source of all life, he provides the wherewithal for every achievement of human civilization, he is the telos of all that is beautiful. He is, among his many other titles, the Christ of the academic road.”
“Illumination” is often a resounding cry within all forms of education, but “even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14) The founders, patrons, administrators, and families of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy recognize the singular truth of God shining forth through His Son, the Light of the World. It is a privilege to stand together in God’s Kingdom work of leading students to know the Truth that sets them free.
It seems paradoxical that Jesus, the Light of the World, told His followers “You are the Light of the World” (Matthew 5:14) We celebrate this glorious mystery at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, that somehow the One that is Faithful and True chooses to shine His Light through us. Although we are blessed with wonderful traditions, great facilities, and three beautiful campuses, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is a community of people who have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light.
May we continue to do all for Christ and His Kingdom
John Tyler, PRCA Head of Schools
Sharing His Light with Love & Faith
C S Lewis wrote, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else ”
As I toured classrooms on Back to School Night, I was reminded of the beauty and rigor of a classical education at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Each teacher thoughtfully designs every aspect of the curriculum to point our children toward the truth of Scripture, rather than allowing them to be carried along by the shifting tides of modern culture Every day, students at all campuses are given a purposeful invitation to engage in kingdom work by learning more about God's faithfulness, love, dedication, and care for His creation
My hope and prayer for you this year is that your faith and hope will transform the way you see the truth, beauty, and goodness of the good news of Jesus Christ and that this transformation will shape the way you see and do everything else
Thank you for partnering with Pusch Ridge Christian Academy in building up and praying for our community It is a privilege to serve alongside you in this faith-filled and prayerful school and community.

Servant Leaders eagerly look for opportunities to humbly serve the community, following Christ’s example of "laying down His life" for others. They seek to glorify God as they serve with integrity, letting their "'yes' be yes, and their 'no' be no." In an example of servanthood, Servant Leaders lead others in the same way, demonstrating Paul’s exhortation to "imitate me as I imitate Christ "
The 2024-2025 school year was marked by students & parents, faculty & staff serving each other and the community in tangible ways; simple, daily actions making a larger impact.
do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others - philippians 2 : 3-4
A YEAR OF SERVANT LEADERSHIP

Students and families donated new items and assembled them in boxes to send the love of Christmas to children around the world
Teachers consistently served and challenged students, embodying the PRCA mission
Parents showed support and appreciation for teachers, while the administration and school board lifted the teachers and staff in prayer and offered encouragement.
Students at all campuses served with Feed My Starving Children.
South Campus hosted a Faith and Blue Day, honoring local police, fire departments and members of the military
At each campus, students regularly assisted with cleaning and setting up during the school day, before and after chapel and other events
Students served the community at organizations such as Gospel Rescue Mission, More than a Bed, GAP Ministries, AZ Baptist Ministries, Ronald McDonald House, and Heritage Oaks

Leadership across the three Pusch Ridge Christian Academy campuses:
Shines
In kindergarten, students are all about themselves when the year begins. Towards the end of the year, I had two students who started noticing that I took the chairs off the tables each morning. So they would come inside and do it for me without asking. It was a small way to serve, but a big deal for kindergarten students.
-ANDREA
WRIGHT, SOUTH KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
Participation in Middle School Leadership class requires students to take on extra responsibility; they restock the vending machine, care for recess equipment, prepare and present student video announcements, and prepare small group, chapel, field day, and Learning Expedition materials, as well as serve at off-campus ministry locations
-BRIAN RAFACZ, MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
In fifth grade, students take on new leadership rolls. They open chapel in prayer, raise the flag for daily pledge, and empty recycling from campus bins weekly. They also help in kindergarten classes, and in chapel by sitting with younger students, as well as set up tables/chairs for special events.
-JOY BERGENDORFF, GRAMMAR 5TH GRADE TEACHER
Teachers are extra involved and willing to work with us, challenging us to work harder

SOUTH campaign
Our third year on the South Campus was one to celebrate Above all, we thank God, who provided the opportunities and opened the hearts of partners who continue to bless His school on Tucson’s south side
Last fall, the brand-new three-classroom building opened, giving our third graders a place to continue to learn and grow Soon after, God moved again. Through the prayers and generosity of faithful donors, we were able to launch Phase 2A of our South Capital Campaign. This exciting step includes a paved parking lot, the commencement of construction on a two-story, twelveclassroom hacienda-style building, and the creation of a full-size soccer field for our students and families. Another milestone was realized this fall, with the addition of fourth-grade classes
In May, we saw another beautiful picture of God’s work through our students Our young Mariachi León opened the Tucson International Mariachi Conference at the same plaza downtown where, five years earlier, more than fifty pastors had gathered to pray for Christian education on the south side. Our students filled that space with the sound of voices and instruments, a living testimony of prayers answered.
As one of the first classical Christian Dual-Language Immersion schools in the United States, PRCA South is uniquely preparing students to be literate in both Spanish and English while sharing the hope of the Gospel across cultures The vision, however, is not yet complete To establish a fully functioning K-12 campus, we continue to press forward with Phases 2B and 3 of our campaign, requiring $8 million in additional support.
We warmly invite you to visit, take a tour, and see firsthand how God is transforming lives at the South Campus. Thank you for your faithful support of the PRCA community
1 Refining the scope of Classical Christian Education at PRCA
2 Seeking to fulfill the school's mission by Building an Aspirational Culture of grace and truth
3.Priorities include Faculty Support; recruiting and retaining excellent faculty and staff.
4 Looking at Culturally Consistent Growth; seeking the Lord's will for enrollment and campus development
5 Expanding our excellence in Financial Stewardship through strategic planning
