Thou art clement, thou art chaste, Mary, thou art fair; of all mothers sweetest, best; none with thee compare.

2

O heavenly mother, mistress sweet! It never yet was told that suppliant sinner left thy feet unpitied, unconsoled.

Thou art clement, thou art chaste, Mary, thou art fair; of all mothers sweetest, best; none with thee compare.

O mother pitiful and mild, cease not to pray for me; for I do love thee as a child, and sigh for love of thee.

Thou art clement, thou art chaste, Mary, thou art fair; of all mothers sweetest, best; none with thee compare.

4

Most powerful mother, we all know thy Son denies thee nought; thou askest, wishes it, and lo! His power thy will hath wrought.

Thou art clement, thou art chaste, Mary, thou art fair; of all mothers sweetest, best; none with thee compare.

5

O mother blest, for me obtain ungrateful though I be, to love that God who first could deign to show such love for me.

Thou art clement, thou art chaste, Mary, thou art fair; of all mothers sweetest, best; none with thee compare.

O purest of creatures

1

O purest of creatures, sweet Mother, sweet Maid, The one spotless womb wherein Jesus was laid, All lost in the darkness we call upon thee, And look to thy shining, bright Star of the Sea.

2

O fairest of virgins, sweet Mother, sweet Maid, The God in His goodness with beauty arrayed. He lovingly chose thee His mother to be; He shone in thy shining, bright Star of the Sea.

3

Oh, may thy pure light on our souls ever shine; And keep them unsullied and sinless as thine, Till after this exile united we be, Through ages unending, in glory with thee.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary

1

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,

O bless us as we pray, And offer thee our roses

In garlands day by day, While from our Father's garden, With loving hearts and bold, We gather to thine honor Buds white and red and gold.

2

O Queen of the Holy Rosary, Each myst'ry blends with thine The sacred life of Jesus

In ev'ry step divine, Thy soul was His fair garden, Thy virgin breast His throne, Thy thoughts His faithful mirror, Reflecting Him alone. 3

O Queen of the Holy Rosary, We share thy joy and pain, And long to see the glory Of Christ's triumphant reign. Oh, teach us holy Mary, To live each mystery, And gain by patient suff'ring

The glory won by thee.

Holy Mary now we crown thee 1

Holy Mary now we crown thee Honored Queen of all our race; Noble Virgin, may our tribute Win thy love and gain us grace. Stain of sin hath never marred thee, Mankind's only spotless bloom; God whose might exceeds the heavens

Thou hast sheltered in thy womb.

Glorious Queen, look down in kindness, While before thy sight we stand, Bring God's blessing to thy children, Watch our homes and guard our land. Gate of heaven, thou wert Mother

To the King of heav'n and earth, Now be Mother to thy subjects, In our souls give Jesus birth.

Holy Queen, we come before thee

1

Holy Queen, we come before thee, Queen of purity divine, Make us love thee, we implore thee, Make us truly to be thine.

Thou by faith the gates unfolding Of the kingdom in the skies Hast to us, by faith beholding, Shown the land of Paradise.

2

Teach thy children, holy Mother, How to conquer ev'ry sin, How to love and help each other, How eternal life to win

Thou to whom a Child was given Greater than the sons of men, Coming down from highest heaven To create the world again.

3

Oh, by that Almighty Maker

Whom thyself a virgin bore, Oh, by that supreme Creator

Whom you praise forevermore, By the hope thy name inspires, By our doom reversed through thee, Help us, Queen of angel choirs, To a blest eternity.

Sing of Joseph, strong and gentle

1

Sing of Joseph, strong and gentle, Nobly born of David's house. Just and upright, man of labor, Whom God chose as Mary's spouse.

2

Chosen, too, as Jesus' guardian, Guiding Him since Infancy. Holy Child of Holy parents, Holy is Their Family.

3

Sing of Joseph, foster father, To the incarnate Son of God. Loving husband for God’s mother, As toward David’s town they plod.

4

Filled with justice, strength and wisdom, Joseph was their rock and guide. Now he guards God’s pilgrim people, Steadfast patron at our side.

5

Glory be to God the Father, Glory be to God the Son. Glory be to God the Spirit, Glory to the Three in One.

Holy God, we praise Thy Name

1

Holy God, we praise Thy Name;

Lord of all, we bow before Thee! All on earth Thy scepter claim, All in Heaven above adore Thee; Infinite Thy vast domain, Everlasting is Thy reign.

2

Hark! the loud celestial hymn

Angel choirs above are raising, Cherubim and seraphim, In unceasing chorus praising; Fill the heavens with sweet accord: Holy, holy, holy, Lord.

3

Lo! the apostolic train

Join the sacred Name to hallow; Prophets swell the loud refrain, And the white robed martyrs follow; And from morn to set of sun, Through the Church the song goes on.

4

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three we name Thee; While in essence only One, Undivided God we claim Thee; And adoring bend the knee, 292

While we own the mystery. Thou art King of glory, Christ: Son of God, yet born of Mary; For us sinners sacrificed, And to death a tributary: First to break the bars of death, Thou has opened Heaven to faith.

5

From Thy high celestial home, Judge of all, again returning, We believe that Thou shalt come In the dreaded doomsday morning; When Thy voice shall shake the earth, And the startled dead come forth.

6

Therefore do we pray Thee, Lord: Help Thy servants whom, redeeming By Thy precious blood out-poured, Thou hast saved from Satan’s scheming. Give to them eternal rest

In the glory of the blest.

7

Spare Thy people, Lord, we pray, By a thousand snares surrounded: Keep us without sin today, Never let us be confounded. Lo, I put my trust in Thee; Never, Lord, abandon me.

Holy Spirit, Lord of love

1

Holy Spirit, Lord of love, thou who camest from above, gifts of blessing to bestow on your waiting Church below, once again in love draw near to thy servants gathered here. From their bright baptismal day thou hast led them on their way.

2

When the sacred vow is made, when the hands are on them laid, come in this most solemn hour with your strengthening gift of power. Give them light thy truth to see: give them life to live for thee, daily power to conquer sin, patient faith, the crown to win.

I am the bread of life

1

I am the bread of life, broken for all. Eat now and hunger no more. One faith, one hope, one symbol of love given to us in this one bread, one cup. O let us be one in the Lord.

2

You are my friends if you keep my commands, no longer servants but friends.

3

See how my people have nothing to eat. Give them the bread that is you.

4

As God has loved me so I have loved you. Go and live on in my love.

I am the Vine

Refrain

I am the Vine, you are the branches

He who abides in Me and I in him

He it is that bears much fruit

For apart from Me you can do nothing (Repeat)

1

If you abide in Me and my words abide in you

Ask what you will and it shall be given to you

Refrain 2

I am the Vine, you are the branches

He who abides in Me and I in him

He it is that bears much fruit

For apart from Me you can do nothing

Refrain 3

He it is that bears much fruit

For apart from Me you can do nothing.

Draw nigh and take the Body of the Lord

1

Draw nigh and take the Body of the Lord, and drink the holy Blood for you outpoured.

2

Saved by that Body and that precious Blood, with souls refreshed, we render thanks to God.

3

Salvation's Giver, Christ, the only Son, by his dear Cross and Blood the victory won.

4

Offered was he for greatest and for least, himself the Victim, and himself the Priest.

5

Victims were offered by the law of old, which in a type this heavenly mystery foretold.

6

He, Ransomer, from death, and Light from shade, now gives his holy grace his saints to aid;

7 approach ye then with faithful hearts sincere, and take the safeguard of salvation here.

8

He that in this world rules his saints and shields, to all believers life eternal yields.

9

With heavenly bread makes them that hunger whole, gives living waters to the thirsting soul.

10

Alpha and Omega, to whom shall bow all nations at the Doom, is with us now.
